I really love exploring the world and going to new places so I don’t joke when it comes to search activities.

I am from the Northern part of Ghana which is blessed with a lot of tourists sites. Most of these tourists came into existence through natural means whiles others where created by man.
One thing beautiful about those that came into existence through natural means is that, you feel great any time you visit those places.

HISTORY ABOUT TONO DAM

TONO Dam is a natural Dam that’s is located in the Upper East Region of Ghana Specifically Navorongo. That’s the town I am currently undertaking my tertiary education in.
The TONO is about 170ft deep but no one has been able to estimate the width of the dam.
The Dam is a natural Dam and history shows that, it has never been dried up since it’s olden days.
The Dam serves as a source of water for so many uses to its neighboring communities.
The water is used for irrigational purposes, commercial and economical.
It’s also used for Fishing purposes in which fishes harvested are used to generate income to the people of TONO where it is located.

How my Visitation was like

I went together with some few friends to the Dam. We decided to spend our lecture time by exploring Navorongo so a visit to the TONO Dam was concluded on.

We got to the Dam with the help of motorbikes since the road leading to the Location wasn’t in a good shape for a vehicle.

Upon arrival we didn’t meet a lot of people there so we had the chance to really explore the Dam.

Enjoy some pictures we took at the Dam.

When I was an undergraduate, I also got a chance to visit the Victoria dam in Sri Lanka, which is the tallest dam in the country. It is in the upper hill country and it is using for the electric power production and agriculture.

Wow, great discovery.

I also have visited three dams in Sri Lanka. Environment in your photos looks similar to some areas in my country.

Upon arrival we didn’t meet a lot of people there so we had the chance to really explore the Dam

I also love when there is no much people in the places I visit so that I can eexplore freely.
