When I awoke today, I had feel some illness. Then I made the decision not to go to work today. But my lovely wife had already awoken, and the food for breakfast and lunch had already been packed. However, once she learned of my illness, she advised me to stay at home.I informed my project manager and applied for leave.
But as I found out later, the project manager informed me that there were not enough people to do the work properly as several people were on leave at work.Therefore I had decid to forget about the illness and get ready for the start a busy day.
It was about 10am when I arrived at work.Late arrivals are allowed today, but no one will be able to be late or leave work early after today.This is because the HRD has decided to install a new fingerprint machine to replace the signature method used in the book.
As the number of employees who went on Sinhala New Year holidays has not yet arrived, the number of employees is low but there is no shortage of work to be done. There are more MEP Inspection today than there are on an average day. As soon as I arrived, I prepared the Inspection documents and other daily paperwork. After that I went to the work site to pre-inspect the bathroom for MEP Inspection
In the midst of all this work, it was 2.10pm when lunch arrived. As cricket is very interest in the sport, I also spent sort time for watching the Lanka-Bangladesh tournament during lunch.
After lunch, the tests used during the day were pointed out to the consulter and recommendations were obtained. The working condition of the bathrooms to be prepared for tomorrow was also self inspected. It was around 6.30 pm when the employees were informed about other work and arrived at the office.
