Today is vesak poya day. Vesak Poya is a major religious festival in Sri Lanka. It is celebrated on the full moon day of May on veska Poya day.

Celebrated by Buddhists, this Vesak Poya day is one of the most glorious days of the year. On this day, Buddhists observe religious ceremonies in remembrance of the Supreme Buddha.
