After everyone had gotten very excited with the remake of Resident Evil 2, it turned out to be one of the greatest remade games in history. Adding a better story with updated graphics and a even more scary experience with the all new AI of Mr X.
This had gotten everyone to want another remake as good as Resident Evil 2, thus Resident Evil 3 was going to be remade as well. Everyone was super excited for this remake, including me. I was going to wonder how nemesis could already be even scarier then he was before. After waiting long enough the game finally came out and it was time to start playing it. I was really enjoying it for the most part, except for when I realized that Nemesis was a scripted AI. For all of you that don't know scripted AI basically is just scripted to appear instead of it being randomly so you can clearly understand the timing that the enemy is going to show up unlike in Resident Evil 2 when Mr X would randomly appear in the police station and chase you down. Resident Evil 3 also had a lot of reused and reskinned textures in the game making it as though it didn't feel like a remake it actually felt like a copy of Resident Evil 2 just with a different protagonist. Resident Evil 3's Nemesis was a terrible character in the remake just because of how badly scripted and how little you interacted with him throughout the whole game. I really wanted it to feel like Mr X where you didn't know where you would be safe from him besides rooms that you can save the game in. Though this never happened because Nemesis only appeared a total of 3-4 times in game.
I mean look at this character art, they gave him so much potential in the game for him really to feel like a terrifying enemy. But that is just the tip of the ice berg on why this game was a terrible flop. To dig deeper Resident Evil 3's remastered campaign was so much shorter than Resident Evil 2's. They cut so much out of the game that people who played the original felt like they were missing so much, and that was true because they cut out so much of the game. To put it into perspective between Resident Evil 2's campaign and Resident Evil 3's campaign, I have 40 hours on Resident Evil 2 because well 1 the campaign was really long and 2 they added fun modes and extra dlc campaigns that you get for free. While on Resident Evil 3, I only have 4 hours. I regret spending 60 dollars for 4 hours of terrible game play and I didn't get any enjoyment. One final reason that this game sucked so much was because in Resident Evil 2 they had free dlcs like I said before and other modes such as tofu mode
Tofu mode was a speed run mode where you would have to complete different areas as tofu, when you did one as a tofu you would get another, the catch is that each tofu starts with different weapons, so you could have a knife wielding tofu or a grenade launcher tofu. The additional campaigns had also added a lot due to the fact that a new type of zombie or creature was introduced to the campaign. For example the "Pale Heads" were added to the new campaign and they would add a hell of a challenge due to the fact that they can only be knocked down for a short period of time like Mr X. But instead of adding any fun game mode that would make me want to play the game a lot more, they decided to add a whole new game called Resident Evil Resistance, and the only thing we got was to play the beta. This in itself was just a pile of wasted potential for good campaigns and instead a stupid mashup between PVP and playing cards where the cards would be to spawn in zombies and vs the survivors and see if they could make it out or you would defeat them.
The game just feels like another piece of garbage alongside Resident Evil 3. Overall Ill give the game a 4/10 and if I got it cheaper or for free I would give it a 6/10. The only good thing I can really say was that the graphics were nice and the first interaction with Nemesis was really good.
I really hope to see a better game when Resident Evil Village comes out. Thank you for reading this I hope to release more reviews soon!

This game was actually pretty fun in my opinion. Nice to see a classic game like this being remastered and Nemesis was a fun boss to fight.

It was alright man but still it was never as good as RE2 and the RE3 unremastered version. If you played the first one I think you'd understand and if you have well then damn man. I guess you enjoyed it :)
