Hundreds of Elementary School Teachers in Bireuen Attend Technology-Based Media Creation Training.
The Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud) of Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province, held an Information Technology (IT)-Based Media Creation Training for Elementary School (SD) teachers throughout Bireuen Regency.
The activity was carried out by the Human Resources Development Division (PTK) of the Bireuen Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud) to improve skills and knowledge in using technology for teaching. It was attended by two hundred participants for two days from December 17 to December 18, 2024.
The training activity was officially opened by the Head of the Bireuen Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud), Dr. Muslim, M.Si, at the Wisma Bireuen Jaya Hall, Kota Juang District, Bireuen, Tuesday, December 17, 2024.
The Head of the Bireuen Education and Culture Office, Muslim explained that Information Technology-based learning is a learning process that uses various information technologies as learning media. In IT-based learning, the role of teachers as the only authority of knowledge, which changes into a facilitator for students to interact with various learning resources.
Teachers really need to master information technology in the learning process, because if teachers cannot master technology, the learning process will be less than optimal which makes it difficult for students to understand the material presented.
In addition, this training is to further improve the ability of teachers in designing and developing learning media that use information technology.
"Through this training, it is hoped that teachers can improve their skills and knowledge in using technology to teach, in their respective schools," said Muslim.
The organizing committee Zakiah Zakaria, S.E, said that the Information Technology-Based Media Creation Training was attended by 224 elementary school teachers throughout Bireuen Regency, participants were divided into two rooms.
It was stated that there were four speakers who filled this training activity consisting of Yusmadi, M.Pd from the Bireuen Education and Culture Office.
Then, Devi Arlita, S.Pd from UPTD SDN 12 Bireuen, Saputra, S.Kom from UPTD SMPN 1 Bireuen and Fadli, S.Kom from UPTD SDN 3 Juli.
"The activity was held for two days, December 17-18, 2024, at the Wisma Bireuen Jaya Hall," he explained.
Zakiah Zakaria hopes that through this training, elementary school teachers in Bireuen can improve the quality of learning in using technology to teach in schools.
