One House and Kiosk Burned Down in Bireuen.

One unit of permanent construction house and semi-permanent grocery kiosk in Tgk Dilampoh Hamlet, Ule Cee Village, Jangka District, Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province burned down at around 05.00 WIB, Saturday, 22/3/2025.

The building was burned down along with its contents belonging to Husaini Ben (59 years old), a farmer occupied by his wife Rusna (53 years old), and his eight children were razed to the ground. The source of the fire is not yet known for sure, it is suspected to be due to an electrical short circuit from the kiosk in the victim's yard.

According to information, the incident occurred before dawn, suddenly the homeowner smelled something burning, then when he made sure he went outside the house he saw that the grocery kiosk in front of the house was already on fire. When the incident occurred, there was a strong wind, the flames immediately spread to the main house so that both buildings burned down.

The homeowner and family members immediately went out to save themselves and asked for help from the surrounding community. The surrounding community immediately put out the fire with simple tools and contacted the Bireuen Regency fire department.

Not long after, one fire engine unit from the Kuta Blang District sub-district post, two fire engines from the Bireuen City main post were deployed to the scene to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters assisted by residents carried out handling to extinguish the fire, the flames were only extinguished at 06.00 WIB or one hour later and the cooling process continued until 07.30 WIB.

As a result of the incident, Husaini, his wife and eight children lost their homes ahead of the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

Meanwhile, the Village Head (Keuchik Gampong) (Village Head) of Ule Cee Jangka, Azwani, told several media crews that the source of the fire was not yet known for sure, it was suspected to be due to an electrical short circuit from the kiosk in front of the victim's house.

Because of the wind and the close distance between the kiosk and the house of about 1 meter, the fire spread to the house so that both buildings burned down. The family immediately went out to save themselves.
