Rohingya Immigrants Landed Again in Aceh, 50 People Landed in the Waters of Gampong Seunebok Baro.

As many as 50 Rohingya refugees returned to East Aceh Regency via the Gampong Seunebok Baro waterway, Darul Aman District on Thursday, 12/14/2023, at around 02.00 WIB.

However, the ship carrying them has not been found. Dozens of Rohingya refugees then underwent a health examination from UPTD officers at the Darul Aman Health Center and were questioned by security forces.

The 50 boat people were all men, their arrival was initially known by the local community. The community immediately provided information to the authorities and combed the beach and found dozens of boat people.

Next, dozens of boat people were gathered at TPI Idi Rayeuk, where they were directly recorded by the local sub-district government.

The presence of the boat people was rejected by the local community. Residents of Seneubok Baroh Village, Darul Aman District, East Aceh asked that the Rohingya refugees be immediately moved.

This is because the community is unable to accommodate the Rohingya refugees and there are no shelters in the village.

Around 14.30. WIB, the Rohingya immigrants were immediately transferred to the Idi Sport Center, East Aceh Regency. The Idi Sport Center will be used as a temporary shelter for these immigrants.

The immigrants were transported from TPI using Satpol PP and WH East Aceh cars to the Idi Sport Center.
