The Bireuen District Attorney's Office (Kejari) Team, Tuesday, 1/21/2025, visited the State Senior High School (SMAN) 1 Kuala Bireuen. The presence of the team is a program of the Attorney Entering School (JMS) to conduct legal counseling with a main focus on preventing bullying and cyber bullying behavior.
The Bireuen District Attorney, Munawal Hadi SH MH said, the JMS program initiated by the Bireuen District Attorney's Office is back to provide legal socialization to students.
This activity was held at SMAN 1 Kuala, Bireuen Regency with a main focus on preventing bullying and cyber bullying behavior, the meeting was attended by students and teachers.
The team led by the Head of Intelligence at the Bireuen District Attorney's Office, Wendy Yuhfrizal aims to increase legal awareness among students, while providing an in-depth understanding of the negative impacts of bullying and cyber bullying behavior.
The main source of the Bireuen District Attorney's Office, namely the Head of Intelligence at the Bireuen District Attorney's Office, Wendy Yuhfrizal SH.MH accompanied by Head of Sub-Section 1 Dona Popo Saragih SH provided comprehensive material related to the problem.
In its socialization, the Bireuen District Attorney's Office JMS team explained that bullying and cyber bullying behavior not only have a negative impact on the victim, but also have serious legal consequences.
Bullying and cyber bullying can be subject to criminal sanctions in accordance with applicable laws. Therefore, it is important for students to understand that such actions are not trivial.
It was explained that the JMS program is one of the Bireuen District Attorney's Office's efforts to form a young generation that is aware of the law and has an attitude of mutual respect for one another.
Through legal counseling activities, it is hoped that legal awareness can be built from an early age so that a safe and comfortable school environment is created for all students.
This socialization received a positive response from students and teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Kuala. They hope that similar activities can continue to be carried out routinely to provide legal education that is beneficial for students.
According to him, bullying behavior does occur a lot in schools, even though it is only small-scale bullying. But through the JMS program, it is hoped that students can understand that bullying behavior is not good and can lead to legal problems.
"Many students who previously did not know what bullying was, now know. With today's activity, it is very positive, so it really helps children at school and also teachers in terms of preventing bullying," said Head of Intelligence, Wendy Yuhfrizal SH.
He added, with the JMS program and this kind of socialization, it is hoped that the level of bullying and cyber bullying among students can be reduced significantly.
