Acting (Pj) Regent of Bireuen Regency, Jalaluddin, SH MM represented by Secretary (Sekda) Ir Ibrahim Ahmad, MSi, opened the final consultation of the disaster management plan (RPB) document, held by the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Thursday (19/9/2024) morning, at the Wisma Bireuen Jaya Hall.
Head of Implementation (Kalaksa) of the Bireuen Regency BPBD, Afwadi, BA in his report said that this activity was attended by 65 participants consisting of SKPK heads, sub-district heads, university representatives, and NGOs related to disaster management, representatives of community elements represented by keuchik/village heads.
The purpose and objective of holding this public consultation is to obtain input and suggestions for the final draft of the Bireuen Regency disaster management plan document for the 2025-2029 period.
Specifically related to the program and activity plans will be a guideline for the government and non-government, in disaster management in Bireuen. This activity is a follow-up to the results of assistance with the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) in Jakarta last week, said Afwadi.
In this activity there was a presentation of material from speakers from BPBA entitled the mechanism and stages of preparing the RPB delivered by Subhan, and material from the team of experts related to the final draft of the Bireuen Regency disaster management plan document for 2025-2029 delivered by Risma Sunarty, explained the Head of BPBD.
Bireuen Regency Regional Secretary, Ir Ibrahim Ahmad, among others, said that the disaster management plan is an integrated mechanism for planning and analyzing an issue comprehensively against the disaster risk in the Bireuen Regency area.
So that it produces a recommendation for policies, strategies, program directions and activities that can be utilized in the development process in the region. The preparation of this RPB also produces a regional disaster management action plan which contains programs and activities.
Later, it must be a serious concern for the Bireuen Regency Government, especially the regional apparatus as a guideline in preparing programs and activities in each SKPK.
"I urge all participants in the public consultation to follow this activity well, provide constructive suggestions, opinions, input so that the RPB document produced is truly beneficial for all of us," said the Regional Secretary.
