The open football tournament for the Danrem 011/Lilawangsa cup has been officially opened by Danrem 011/Lilawangsa Colonel Inf Ali Imran, at the Green Open Space (RTH) Field in Cot Gapu Village, Kota Juang District, Bireuen Regency, Wednesday, (21/8/2024).
The opening of the match was marked by the first kick of the ball by Danrem 011/Lilawangsa Colonel Inf Ali Imran, Dandim 0111/Bireuen, Bireuen Regional Secretary and others.
Today, Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at 16.50, I officially declare the 2024 Danrem 011/Lilawangsa cup football open," he said.
Colonel Inf Ali Imran said that the 2024 Danrem Cup open football tournament was held to commemorate the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia and this is a means of friendship.
"We hope that the players will uphold sportsmanship, as well as to strengthen the ties of friendship and encourage the spirit of football in the Korem 011/Lilawangsa area," said Danrem Ali Imran.
Danrem Ali Imran said that the football players can show their best abilities in achieving the highest achievements.
In essence, we are looking for superior football players, because in the past PSSB Bireuen and PSPU Jangka, the 2 clubs were very famous in all of Aceh football, even nationally, we hope that in the future new seeds will emerge," he hoped.
He added that as a native son of Bireuen, he held a football tournament in the Bireuen area even though it is located in Lhokseumawe.
"This is my wish that there is an event or entertainment for the community in my hometown," he said.
After the opening, the first match was continued between the two teams between the L Fatra FC Bireuen soccer team and Ghathaf FC North Aceh.
The opening of the tournament was also attended by a number of Dandim officials in line with Korem 011/LW, as well as the Bireuen Regency Forkopimda who were present and other invitees and hundreds of Bireuen residents crowded the area.
In the first match during the first half break, the SMPN 1 Bireuen drumband group also showed their attractions.
The 16 teams competing were SIDO77ZP Fc, PSPU Jangka, Peusangan Raya Fc, L.PATRA Fc, SP Fc, DERRE Fc, GATHAF Fc, CST Fc, Hercules Keumala, Persimura Fc, Langsa Fc, PS Analisa, Porsip Bius, Sanggamara, Paraduta Fc, and Bapor Pertamina Rantau taking place from August 21 to September 4, 2024.
The first match between L Fatra FC Bireuen and Ghathaf FC Aceh Utara was won by the L Fatra FC Bireuen team through a penalty shootout. The normal match with a score of 1 - 1, continued with a penalty shootout with a score of 4 - 2 with the result won by the L Fatra FC Bireuen team.
