The Faculty of Health Sciences, Muhammadiyah University of Mahakarya Aceh (FiKes UMMAH) Bireuen Regency held a lecture on Burn Wound Care (Pakar) which took place in the Hall Room on the 3rd Floor of Fikes UMMAH Bireuen, Tuesday (4/6/2024).
Deputy Dean of UMMAH FiKes for Student and Alumni Affairs, Ns. Mahadzir ZA, M.Kep, to several media crew, Wednesday (05/6/2024) in his office at the UMMAH Bireuen FiKes Campus, said that the expert lecture presented Ns. Edy Mulyadi, M.Kep, RN, WOC(ET)N as resource person.
"He is a nurse practitioner and expert in Indonesian wound nursing, who often speaks not only at the national level but also internationally," said the man known as Pak Ajir Peudada.
Apart from that, Edy Mulyadi is the President of the Indonesia Wound Care Clinician Association (InWCCA) and also a Lecturer at the Cut Nyak Dhien Langsa Science University.
"This expert lecture discussed the topic of implementing moist wound healing in burn wound care to prevent complications," he said.
The expert lecture was attended by 315 students from semesters 2 and 6 of all study programs at the UMMAH health faculty.
The expert lecture was opened directly by the Dean of UMMAH FiKes, Dr. Mursyidah A.Latief, MPH, accompanied by the Head of the D3 Nursing Diploma Study Program, Ns. Badrulzaman, M. Kep.
In his speech, dr. Mursyidah appreciated this activity and expressed her highest gratitude and thanks to Ns. Edy Mulyadi, M.Kep., who took the time to share knowledge with UMMAH FiKes students.
In response to the increasing need for services, especially for people with special needs and chronic burns, it is necessary to improve scientific facilities.
"In order to increase knowledge and skills in wound care in the future so that we will be more active and able to fulfill the call for service, especially in terms of wound care," added the Dean of UMMAH FiKes.
The first speaker in the expert lecture was delivered by the Chairman of the Indonesian National Nurses Association (PPNI) Bireuen, Ns. Mirzal Tawi, M.K.M, as a pre-lecture or introduction and provided enlightenment and motivation to UMMAH Fikes students.
The next session was the main expert lecture delivered by Ns. Edy Mulyadi, M.Kep, RN, WOC(ET)N, president of InWCCA who is also a Doctoral candidate at Syiah Kuala University Banda Aceh.
For 1.5 hours, he discussed in detail and thoroughly about moist wound healing in treating burns to avoid complications.
Students were very enthusiastic in discussing and asking questions about the expert's lecture material, guided well by Wadek Ns. Mahadzir ZA, M. Kep.
Before the lecture ended, the Bireuen PPNI Korlap, Ns. Didi Suryadi, S Kep., or known as Didi Noah, who conveyed tips and tricks for success as a wound nurse.
