Butterfly pea flower is a vine whose flowers are shaped like small bright blue funnels. this flower can be used as a natural coloring material for food, besides that this flower is also popular with its properties for the health of the human body with the main benefit of reducing the risk of hypertension and heart disease.

In the backyard of my house there is a thriving plant of butterfly pea flowers. The flowers are a beautiful purplish-blue color. when the wind blows, they look like they are dancing. although not very often, I like to pick the flowers when they are in full bloom. I choose the freshest and brightest colored flowers.

After collecting them, I then took the butterfly pea flowers to the kitchen. I filled a glass with hot drinking water and brewed it, adding lime juice and a little honey. then the color of the water slowly turned a lovely purple. The fragrant aroma of this butterfly pea flower herbal drink is soothing and refreshing.

For me, enjoying the butterfly pea flower herbal drink is a unique sensation. When I sipped it, the fresh and slightly sour taste of lime mixed with the sweetness of honey provided the perfect balance of flavors. moreover, this drink can help maintain my body's health. you should also try this my secret ingredient @wakeupkitty @aneukpineung78.

Of course, I already mentioned that it's a secret ingredient 😁

Darn it! You played the magic word perfectly. This is bunga telong in Indonesian, right? Some people put some in the rice when cooking it. It will make the rice bluish. Never did it.

This is new information, and I think it's also worth trying to make that blue rice, combined with the pliek soup might create a phenomenal flavor!

The purplish mujair pliek,, wow!

😂

there's also blue cauliflower, coloured not the bought one. It makes one fool with the taste just like blue cake unlike green.

This one @fajrularifst is showing us is quite famous in Indonesia.

you drink or eat the flowers too?

As far as I know, people drink it, and some suggest to put some in the rice when cooking, which will make the rice purplish or bluish, never did that, but I saw some pictures shared on social medias.

If you don't mind, please also consider giving me a two-star badge, I want to look cooler.

Didn't we meet face to face at Meet UP last year, although I admit we didn't look at each other. But I took a picture with Mr. Salman, and I think that's enough for me to get an extra star.

Baik bang

Ummm.. How does that taste? There is a lime and honey in it. Is it sweet?

I guess, this should be some sort of a healthy drink. I guess, it is a combination of both sweet and soar sort of drink. Isn't it?

Enjoy your drink & have a nice day /weekend.

I never had it, it is popular in Indonesia. And is easy to grow. Seen it many times. Hey @fajrularifst, how does it taste?

It's hard to describe the taste, but it's like tea, just a little more bland, but we can adjust the flavor to what we want to enjoy, that's the function of lime and honey.

I wonder if this plant exists in the Netherlands too, maybe with the added variation of hot chocolate or soda? @wakeupkitty

Well, @ronnie10 lives in Latvia, as far as I know from the provided information. Hey Ronnie10, do you have this flower there?

I can't say it is not there. But, I haven't seen it. Maybe, it is not that famous or something. But, it could be just imported for making such herbal drinks. I didn't look for it myself. LOL
There are some plants which stays in a particular atmosphere. It is probably found in nearby countries.

Thank you Mrs. @chant

What a bright drink that is, A beautiful colour blue it reminds me of blue curacao. Can it be mixed with orange juice. What is the taste or is it tasteless?
The way you prepared it reminds me of how I use the poppies but I never drank it straight away. I make syrup or jam out of it.
What does it smell l like?

The smell is about 1/3rd that of jasmine tea, I think you'll like it. When it comes to flavor, it's originally bland, but the touch of lime and honey makes it special.
Let me guess, you don't really like sweet drinks do you?

Like Jasmine that smells good. No, I don't like sweet drinks. I never use tea or anything with sugar, the exception is orange juice. I guess it runs in our family since we do have syrup, but hardly anyone likes it. I do if it's semolina pudding.
