The Free Nutritious Food Program (MBG) for students launched by the government in Peudada District, Bireuen on Monday (2/17/2025), went smoothly.
The program has had a positive impact on thousands of school children. The initiative aims to improve students' nutrition and health, as well as support the continuity of their education.
This was conveyed by the Head of Bireuen Region IV Office, Abdul Hamid, MPd to several media crews, regarding the implementation of the program initiated by President Prabowo Subianto.
He added that the launch of the MBG Program was carried out at SMAN 1 Peudada, attended by the principal, Head of the Education Office Branch, Kajari, and Dandim.
"With this free meal program, we hope that every student can focus on studying without worrying about their nutritional intake," he explained.
"Health is the key to achieving success," said Abdul Hamid as Head of the Bireuen Education Office Branch.
The program serves nutritious meals every day in elementary, junior high, and high schools in Peudada District.
All meals are prepared with attention to nutritional and safety standards, and involve local workers to support the local economy.
The response from students and parents to the MBG Program has also been very positive. Many parents expressed their gratitude for the program.
Because the program directly helps ease their burden in providing healthy food for children.
The government is committed to continuing to monitor the implementation of this program, and ensuring that every child gets maximum benefit from the initiative.
The program, which started at around 11:30 WIB, was attended by the Head of the Bireuen District Attorney's Office, Munawal Hadi., SH, MH, Dandim 0111 Bireuen, Lieutenant Colonel inf Ade Munandar, S.I.Pem, Head of Bireuen Branch Office Abdul Hamid, Principal of SMAN 1 Peudada, Teachers and invited guests who attended.
In this activity, 323 portions of free lunch were distributed to students at SMAN 1 Peudada. The activity was carried out by 10 schools with a total of 1200 portions of Free Nutritious Food
Meanwhile, the Head of the Bireuen District Attorney's Office, Munawal Hadi., SH, MH, said that the food menu served had been confirmed to meet the Balanced Nutrition standards, with a composition of carbohydrates, protein, vegetables, fruits, and milk.
He explained that this program is a form of support from the Bireuen District Attorney's Office for the Asta Cita Program of the President of the Republic of Indonesia and a form of concern for the health and development of students.
It is hoped that with a balanced nutritional intake, students can go through their learning days with more enthusiasm.
