Regional Secretary Opens Socialization of Exploration Drilling for Mubadala Energy and Harbaour Energy PSC Contractors.

The Acting Regent of Bireuen, Aulia Sofyan, Ph.D was represented by the District Secretary (Setdakab), Ir Ibrahim Ahmad, MSi. Opening the socialization event for the exploration drilling of the KKKS Mubadala Energy KKKS, the Halwa-1 well and the Gayo-1 KKKS Harbaour Energy, was held, Wednesday (23/8/2023) morning at the Oproom Setdakab Bireuen.

The Regional Secretary said that Bireuen Regency really supports the implementation of today's event. "Hopefully this effort can be a step for us together in carrying out the mandate as caliph fil ardhi, namely being able to manage natural resources which is a gift from Allah SWT to be utilized as much as possible for the prosperity of the people," he said.

Thank God, BPMA together with Harbor Energy and Mubadala Energy will start drilling activities. "I hope that we all welcome and support this exploration and drilling activity, hopefully it can run smoothly. Because regional progress requires inflows of investment, without investment Bireuen Regency will not progress," said Ibrahim Ahmad.

The regional secretary invites all parties to support the entry of investors and the economic activities that they will carry out, such as currently the oil and gas exploration activities that will be carried out by Harbor Energy.

It is hoped that this will have a positive effect on the future development of Bireuen Regency, in particular encouraging greater investment and increasing the portion of the Oil and Gas Revenue Sharing Fund (DBH) for producing regions.

"We ask that in the future the upstream oil and gas industry companies can provide opportunities for the sons of the Bireuen area to work in oil and gas drilling companies.

This is an effort to create jobs and reduce unemployment in Bireuen Regency. "We don't want to just be spectators, but there must also be benefits for our sons from the region. We hope that there will be a special route for the sons from the Bireuen region, to be able to work in oil and gas companies," hoped the Regional Secretary.

"I hope that in the future drilling of exploratory wells, environmental aspects will always be prioritized. Pay attention to local wisdom where you work, build good communication," he concluded.
