In an effort to increase traffic awareness from an early age, the Traffic Unit (Sat Lantas) of the Bener Meriah Resort Police (Polres) held a socialization activity to introduce traffic signs to students of TK-IT Al-Manar Bener Meriah in Kenawat Redelong Village, Bukit District, Bener Meriah Regency, Aceh Province.
Bener Meriah Police Chief, AKBP Tuschad Cipta Herdani, said that this activity aims to instill an understanding of the importance of orderly traffic to children from an early age.
"We want the knowledge they get today to stick in their memories, so that when they grow up, they will be more aware and obedient to traffic rules," said AKBP Tuschad.
In addition to the socialization of traffic signs, the children were also invited to get to know various units at the Bener Meriah Resort Police and were taken around to see several rooms, such as the public service room and the Traffic Unit room. This activity took place in an atmosphere full of joy and enthusiasm from the students.
"We hope that this kind of activity can continue periodically, because the introduction and awareness of traffic rules is the first step in creating a generation that is more disciplined and cares about road safety," added the Chief of Police.
This activity received a warm welcome from the school and parents of students. They appreciated the efforts of the Bener Meriah Police Traffic Unit in educating children to understand the importance of traffic safety from an early age.
The Bener Meriah Police continues to be committed to providing education to the community through various innovative programs, including programs that target young children like this. With this small step, it is hoped that it can create big changes for future generations.
