Weighing palm oil from the garden is done in several steps, some use pedicabs, some use carts, and depending on the condition of the land, sometimes if it's muddy and muddy you have to carry it one by one
But the weather has been good for the past few days, so I can use pedicab
1 . Harvesting FFB (Fresh Fruit Signs):
Oil palms are harvested from trees using harvesting tools such as egrek or dodos. The harvested bunches are selected based on the level of fruit ripeness.
2 . Transportation to the Weighing Place:
The harvested FFB is collected in a certain place in the plantation (TPH - Results Collection Place) before being transported using pedicabs, carts to the weighing place.
3 . Weighing:
Weighing Equipment: Usually I use regular or
manual scales with a large capacity (minimum
500 kilograms to 1 ton) which are available at
this weighing location.
Process:
Put the oil palm bunches into the scales in a
certain amount so that they do not overlap or
tilt.
Record the net weight after ensuring the scales
are zero (tare).
If there are fronds that have not been cut, I clean them by cutting them so that they look good in the factory and are complained about.
4 . Recording:
The weighing results are recorded to determine the total harvest weight per garden block or per worker (if using a profit-sharing system).
5 . Sorting and Transporting to Factories that have warehouses:
The weighed oil palm will be checked again to ensure that its quality meets factory standards (ripe, raw, or rotten).
After being sorted, the oil palm is transported to the palm oil mill to be processed into crude oil (CPO).
Tips:
Make sure the weighing equipment is in good condition and has been calibrated to avoid inaccuracy.
Use standard pulls for oil palm that is still covered in dirt or has fronds.
Record the results every time a measurement is taken to avoid administrative errors.
