"Gaining knowledge is the first step to wisdom. Sharing it is the first step to humanity." This is one of many sayings teachers, like myself, live by. This Pandemic poses challenges to most aspects of peoples' lives, if not all. And educational field is not exempted. Hello there fellow Steemians! Allow me to share, what it's like to be a public school teacher in a New Normal set-up, Philippine edition.
I started my day by cleaning the classroom, as usual, cause I feel like a clean classroom switches the work mode ON, and that I'm ready to conquer the day. After cleaning, I decided to put up curtains, and since I don't have curtain rods I used plastic twine straw and tie both ends on a nail.
In our country, the Philippines, face-to-face teaching is not yet advisable. Most of the public schools adapted Modular Learning, where parents/guardians of the learners will come to school and get the self-learning modules.
And here are the parents/guardians of my students getting their learners self-learning modules and submitting their previous week's outputs.
I also entertain queries from them. And offer guidance for those in need.
This is basically how I roll my mornings in school, then spent my afternoons checking students' outputs and preparing the modules. Insert faculty meetings and paper works in between.
Annnd there's no better way to end the day than with good company having great conversation about how your day went by, while eating in your go-to fast-food restaurant.
My heartfelt gratitude goes to @steem SEA Community for an opportunity to share a glimpse of my life with my fellow Steemians. You are free to follow me @umme, a newbie, and is looking forward to sharing bits and pieces of me with you all. :)
Enjoy your day everyone!
