Half day in the city: take a walk and enjoy the scenery
Da Nang is slender in the north-south direction, with the coastline on the east side and the airport-Hanjiang (three bridges across the river)-the seaside from the west to the east. From the cathedral, through the Dragon Bridge on the Han River, walk straight to My Khe Beach, about an hour’s walk, where you can watch and take photos while walking, and you won’t be too tired. When you return, you can go to the dock to experience a 90-minute cruise on the Han River and enjoy the night view of Da Nang. At 9 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, you will also have the opportunity to enjoy the dragon bridge fire.
[Da Nang Cathedral] The iconic building of Da Nang, the Catholic Church, the exterior is candy-like pink, it looks bright and warm in the sun, giving people a sense of peace and peace. The main door does not open, you can enter from the side door next to it.
[My Khe Beach] A 900-meter-long public beach, named as one of the world’s most beautiful beaches and 50 must-see places in life by National Geographic Magazine. The beach is white and soft and is popular among Europeans and Americans. Favorite. People sit or lie in twos and threes, basking in the sun on the beach, seeming very lazy. The fishermen are sitting in small boats like slings and cast nets in the shallow sea, which is very attractive to tourists.
[Dragon Bridge] The main road on the Han River, the bridge is shaped like a dragon, but there are dragon heads at both ends. Every Saturday and Sunday night, there is a 20-minute water and fire show at 9 o'clock in the evening, and the lights on the dragon bridge alternately change colors, and sometimes spray water and sometimes fire, attracting tourists to stop and watch. You can also cruise on the Hanjiang River, and you can choose the time when you can watch the fire. It is more spectacular to watch on the cruise.
A day in the city: cultural rituals
Friends who like history and culture, religious temples and believers in Buddhism must arrange a day to learn about Vietnam’s Champa culture and visit Vietnam’s South Sea Guanyin. In the morning, you can visit the Cham Museum, the Marble Mountains, and the Camellia Peninsula in the afternoon. The Marble Mountains and Shacha Peninsula can experience the temple culture of Vietnam, but it is a little far from the city center. This route can participate in a day trip with a car pick-up and a tour guide.
[Cham Museum] The architectural style of Cham Towers is quite conspicuous in downtown. There are nearly a thousand pieces of large and small Champa stone carvings and pottery carvings, unearthed from the Maison Valley, and each has a long history and is a cultural relic of hundreds of years. There is no Chinese introduction and explainer in the museum, so you must have a guide to have a deeper understanding.
The Champa Sculpture Museum was built in 1915. The museum preserves stone and pottery sculptures of Champa from the 7th to 15th centuries unearthed from Huang Binh to Binh Dinh province. There are nearly a thousand fine art works of all sizes. These intricately carved sand and stone cultural relics are all cultural relics unearthed from various regions in Vietnam, and it is worth a special trip to Da Nang to visit. There is a restored model of Meishan Champa in the exhibition hall. It is said that the shape of this museum is imitated the architectural style of Champa tower, and the exterior wall is painted yellow to make it more conspicuous in the busy city.
[Five Elements Mountain] 10 kilometers south of Da Nang, five marble hills named gold, wood, water, fire, and earth are collectively called the Five Elements Mountain. There are viewpoints on the mountain where you can see the entire landscape of Da Nang, as well as incense temples, five steps one Buddha, ten steps one pagoda. Among the five mountains, the "water mountain" is the most famous. There are many caves dedicated to gods and Buddhas. The sun shines in from the caves, which is amazing. There are many stone carving souvenir shops along the foot of the mountain.
Five Elements Mountain
[Camellia Peninsula] The peninsula that extends into the sea 13 kilometers northeast of Da Nang is one of the must-visit attractions in Da Nang. It has been designated as a national-level natural forest reserve and preserves a large area of original ecological forest and a variety of precious animals and plants. . In the Lingying Temple on the peninsula stands the tallest statue of Guanyin in the South China Sea. The first and the fifteenth day of each month, Vietnamese people come here to worship religiously. Looking down on the bay from the mountainside is refreshing! Tickets are free, and there is a merit box for voluntary coin deposit.
Ba Na Mountain is a 40-minute drive west of Da Nang. It is a resort area with high-end hotels, high-altitude cable cars and theme parks. Ba Na Mountain is more than 1,400 meters above sea level. There is no need to climb the mountain. Tourists need to rely on the cable car to get up and down the mountain. It takes 15-20 minutes to reach the top of the mountain directly. There is a castle on the mountain. It was originally built by the French for summer vacations for the nobles. Later, a Disney-like playground was rebuilt. The amusement facilities are free. Many local Vietnamese bring their children to play. There is a small train halfway up the mountain to go to the former French winery, you can choose to take it. It's more like being on the streets of Europe here. Just relying on the photos to make you guess, I guess you can't think of Vietnam. Therefore, families with children can enjoy a day in Ba Na Hills.
Tips:
- Cable cars, small trains and wax museums on the mountain are all charged.
- The food on the mountain is also good, not particularly expensive, a pizza is 10-15w VND.
- The queue for amusement events is much better than expected. For many projects, it is the turn of the first or second round.
- You can buy tickets and cable car packages separately, and go on a motorcycle by yourself; you can also directly buy a day trip with shuttle and lunch, which is more convenient.
