Fourteen years later, the second part of Pixar animation Superman Story finally arrived as promised. The connection between the two films from the plot is so close that there is no pause at all. At the end of the first movie, the little girl finally got up the courage to ask her favorite boy to go to the movies on Friday, but now, fourteen years later, their movies still failed to be seen.

The fourteen years outside the film have turned upside down, both for the audience and the film itself. Fourteen years ago, Iron Man was not born, let alone Marvel Universe. Even superheroes are not mature genre films. Fourteen years later, The Avengers, Justice League, X-Men and other superhero organizations made a lot of money and money.

What's embarrassing is that although the first Superman Story was written in 2004, I personally saw it in 2016. Therefore, the excitement and surprise brought by watching movies in those days were not so strong to me. But before watching the second movie, I silently revisited the first one, and the surprises I got increased instead of decreased.

Now, looking back at the first Superman Story 14 years ago, you will find Pixar's foresight. For example, the visual surprise brought by the younger son's ability to move quickly is similar to that of the later Fast Silver, and the villain who is engaged in the arms business and a talented inventor is similar to Iron Man, not to mention their identical power armor.

What's more, "Superman Story" has put the identity of superheroes in front of everyone, and even became the basic setting of the series. When people who committed suicide by jumping off a building were rescued by superheroes, and when people who took the train were injured because of the rescue of superheroes, people began to realize whether the existence of superheroes was good or bad.

Should superheroes use their abilities to save the world again and again, or should the world be left to fend for itself and let superheroes live as normal as ordinary people?

Although this proposition has long been the same problem in American superhero comics, the series Superman Story appeared in movies relatively early, and later became one of the core issues discussed in countless superhero movies. For example, "The Watcher", which is known as the masterpiece of superhero movies, did not deeply explore this issue until 2009. For example, "Batman vs Superman: Justice League" is not just a mortal superhero Batman questioning another god-like superhero Superman. For example, even the laughing Marvel movie universe has the so-called Socovia agreement to limit the ability of superheroes, which leads to civil war. And the discussion on whether the mutant is a monster in the X-Men series is also the "variant" of this problem.

That's why director Brad Bird was reluctant to make the second film, because the first film had unparalleled epoch-making significance in that year-as early as 2004, the proposition that influenced countless superhero movies later was put forward. Although they came up with the prototype of the second story many years ago, it took several years to finish the story.

The trans-era significance of this new story lies in its advancing with the times. There are two points that deserve special attention. First of all, of course, it is the transformation of the hero and heroine's positioning, which is just the opposite of the story in the first film. This time, it is Mr. Incredible's turn to take care of the baby at home, and Superwoman Elasticity has become a brand-new spokesperson for Superman to go out and save the world.

Undoubtedly, this just caters to the rising trend of feminism. In the first movie of that year, even though the whole movie had a very good reputation, some people still complained about Mr. Incredible's inaction on family and children who always wanted to save the world. This reversal finally made people have nothing to say. Mr. Incredible, who retired to the second line, was not only overwhelmed by his eldest son's math homework, but also suffered from his eldest daughter's puberty, while his younger son became a little monster who could breathe fire, shoot laser and bite people. A scene where his father and his baby were in a hurry made people laugh.
