SLC S21W1/ Discovering and Fostering Talent in Children
Everyone must have felt what is called stage fright, both adults and children, nervousness and trepidation when performing in public, we know it as stage fright, this stage fright is because we are not used to performing in public, this fear is due to a very low self-confidence.
A few weeks ago, my niece named Filzah was going to take part in a speech competition at her school, well, to take part in a speech competition, she definitely has to appear in public, so I gave some ways or tips to avoid stage fright.
First, I gave directions and said that when on stage, you must always think positively and relax so that we can master the stage without feeling nervous.
Always smile when on stage, smiling can lighten the mood, besides smiling can make our minds confused so that they will be calmer, a heart that was previously confused will be warmer, well, when you smile, they or the audience will also respond the same way.
Well, the next tip is to introduce yourself, so by introducing yourself you will appear close to the audience, besides their assessment has started to get closer.
Well, the next is to add voice power, so that your confidence will increase and you will sound very convincing in front of the audience
When I talked to my niece Filzah, and gave some ways to be confident on stage, she was very enthusiastic, so that her speech material was already very much in her control, besides that, the tips above really helped her when appearing in public.
After I applied some of the methods above, he felt calm so that his nervousness and anxiety disappeared immediately, when my nephew appeared at first he looked nervous and after he applied some of the methods I gave and remembered them he felt confident, when he first went up and introduced himself on stage from there his confidence arose until he finished participating.
With the speech material that he had mastered and the methods I applied so that the audience was very enthusiastic when they heard his speech and the audience all applauded, from there my nephew was able to control the stage when the event began.
As I explained above, I was able to overcome my nephew's stage fright, he managed to master the stage when participating, thanks to determination and hard work so that what he wanted was realized, he could overcome his anxiety and nervousness, as the saying goes, effort will not betray results and that's what my nephew felt. Hopefully with this method he will appear more often in speech competitions and will get more awards at his school, so that he can make his parents proud, here I also feel happy because what I taught was successfully mastered.
The exciting and funny moment was, when the prize-giving event arrived here my nephew managed to get 1st place in the speech competition at school, he was very touched, happy and happy because what he wanted could be achieved, and this moment will always be remembered, when he approached me his tears flowed because he was so happy and happy, here he also did not forget to hug me and thank me, and this became a very special moment in his life.
Well that's my partition on this happy occasion, hopefully useful, here I also do not forget to invite some friends to participate in this contest.
