I am pleased to participate in 2nd week of SLC Season 23. I love learning from these Challenges. This week I will be learning "Role Games". So Let's start,

What was the type of role play you chose for this activity? Why did you choose it?

For this role play, I invited my neighbouring kid. She is only 7 years old and very good girl. We chose the role-play role of a doctor to participate in this competition. Not only did I choose it, but so did the child who was participating in the game with me. This choice was made because participating in doctor-themed plays provides several developmental benefits for children. Through the role-play of this theme, children can gain knowledge about medical science and health care. In my opinion, it is very necessary to have this knowledge in human life because it is a part of our daily life. Since this is an educational game for children and through this game, I think that various social activities and communication skills are increased because when a doctor talks to a patient about a disease, communication skills are developed in them. The best part of this game is it helps childrens creativity. Apart from this, children become very confident through this game, which is much more important later. Keeping all these things in mind, I have chosen this theme, but I think there are many more advantages of this theme game that I am not remembering at the moment.

What characteristics differentiate your characters from their own personalities?

In this role-playing game, the child chose the role of a doctor, which required her to step into a character that was quite different from her usual personality.

• The child in her life is playful and loves to tell stories ,but in this role as a doctor, they have to behave seriously and professionally ,which is different from their usual personality. According to the children usual personality, they always ask questions but in this role-play they have yo listen carefully to the questions and answers them. So responsibility and playfulness differentiate this chosen character from their usual personality.

• Children seek help from others before making decisions when faced with any problem. However, as a doctor, they have to think and decide which "treatment" is best for the patient. Here they have to give advice. So it can be said that the differentiator of this character between Usal Life and Chosen is the ability to solve problems.

• In everyday life, children often seek guidance from adults, but during this role-play, they have to confidently diagnose a patient and prescribe medicine without hesitation. This character is different from their usual personality.

How did the child feel during the activity? Were you comfortable participating? 1 point

The child was very happy to participate in this game. But I was surprised by her performance. When she was playing the role of a doctor, the child seemed to me not a child but a doctor. I was also quite comfortable participating in this game with her because her smooth acting and excellent presentation impressed me. Also, I could guess about her observation skills only after this performance. If you watch the video, you can see that her injection process is as skilled as that of a nurse. The child was very happy to participate in such a game with me. Heshe requested me to play such a game with her the next day. I was also very happy to play with her and I want to continue playing such a game in the future. Here I would like to thank the host of this challenge because because of her initiative, I was able to play with children and get the opportunity to enjoy my childhood again. I cannot express my joy in words. "THANK YOU."

Share everything they did during the role-play, their experience, and how they felt. 2 points

• The child I played with is Bengali and has not yet learned English, so he used her mother tongue in this role-play. She first came and decorated her chamber beautifully. Since she was a child, he did not know that there are specific doctors for adults and doctors for children. Even though she is a medicine doctor(not child specialist), he has kept toys for children in her chamber so that when a child patient comes, she can give toys to stop the child from crying. I found her perfect observation, love and emotion wonderful.

• When I entered her chamber she request me to seat. Like an experienced doctor, she first listened to my medical history. I told her my problems. Then she listened to my heartbeat through her stethoscope, she instructed me to breathe forcefully while listening to the heartbeat which I did not expect from a child of this age. Then she measured my blood pressure. You can see her expressions in the video, she played this role perfectly.

• Then she injected me with a syringe into my vein. If you look closely, you can see that her injection method is correct. Because after pushing the injection, she disinfected the area and secured it with a cotton ball. This proves that her observation skills are very good and her memory is quite sharp.

• Finally, she gave me a prescription where my medicines are mentioned. I was quite amused to see her prescription because she wrote her name and my name(as I spelled) along with some medicine names which none of us can understand. (Haha)

I didn't follow any script in the doctor role play. I wanted the child to play this role using her own creativity, observation and perspective. To me, she was 100% successful and it was a perfect performance.
