Accounting is a multifaceted science, since it collects and analyzes to then provide financial information for decision making in an organization, and here is the need to relate to help with other sciences.
And these sciences are: economics, mathematics, statistics, administration, law and computer science.
Accounting and Economics
This in the first instance is related since both are in the need to be efficient with resources and especially with cash. In the economy, when any decision is needed, accounting is used, since it provides the financial information to take any step forward.
Accounting and Mathematics
Mathematics is essential in accounting, and it is nothing that needs to be very complex, you simply need to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
In business we need mathematics and accounting, since accounting records all your transactions through mathematics.
It is necessary for good accounting to apply mathematics in an easy and fast way.
Accounting and statistics
These two disciplines give us necessary information through understandable and logical arithmetic figures that are necessary for projects or managers.
In accounting, very precise information is needed for decision making, and that is where the field of statistics comes in, since through its study the necessary information is gathered in the collection and analysis of data, to later be presented in the form of reports.
After having clear all the points in the decision making process thanks to statistics, the financial information to follow is prepared.
Accounting and Management
Management is faithfully dependent on accounting, since without the information provided by accounting, management cannot make decisions regarding financial statements.
Management is also related to statistics, mathematics and economics, but it is accounting on which its management depends the most, since it needs its mandatory information. For example; for the planning and subsequent implementation of projects.
Accounting and Law
These two disciplines also have a close relationship in three different branches:
In the first place, commercial law; it regulates commercial activities, from the first moment a company is constituted until its liquidation.
Secondly, labor law; it regulates all the relationships and responsibilities that a company or employer has with its employees.
And finally tax law; it regulates all the obligations that the companies have for taxes that are established in different laws, such as the Income Tax Law, the Law of the Tax on Summarized Consumption and Wholesale Sales, and the municipal ordinances, especially those of industry and commerce patents.
Accounting and Computers
Although it is known that the first beginnings of accounting were made in books, but today with the advances in technology and the computer era, accounting has benefited from these changes.
Nowadays there are many accounting programs that are necessary to make accounting faster, more comfortable, safer and easier.
As a public accountant I attest that all these disciplines are necessary to apply accounting, in fact all these sciences are studied in the university to understand all these possible ways to mix in the best way these important and indispensable disciplines.
