The month of Ramadan has arrived, it is time for Muslims to carry out their obligation to fast.

Although it is always done every year, fasting is always a challenge for those who carry it out. For a whole month, it is not easy to carry out the obligation to control emotions and endure hunger and thirst for approximately 12 hours.

If in the other 11 months we always eat and drink at will, including following the advice to drink mineral water as often as possible according to the body's needs, then how to maintain body hydration during the fasting month:

  • Choose to eat and drink, do it gradually, and with sufficient portions.
Avoid eating large amounts at one time. Remember, the wisdom of the fasting month is self-control. Try to break the fast in reasonable portions and gradually.
You are also advised to chew food well so that the digestion process of food is easier for the stomach to do.

  • Exercise to keep the body in shape
Although fasting causes the body's energy to decrease faster, this is not a reason to stop exercising.
On the contrary, exercising during the fasting month is one of the activities recommended by experts to maintain body fitness, of course with some special notes that must be considered.

  • Increase consumption of mineral water
The impact of lack of mineral water consumption during fasting is the same as the impact of lack of water consumption in general, which causes the body to become dehydrated. As a result, there will be a strong sense of thirst, loss of taste, and a feeling of discomfort.

  • Enough sleep
A healthy lifestyle during the first fast that needs to be applied is not sleeping too late. In the month of fasting, we need to get up earlier than usual to perform sahur. Therefore, you should go to bed early so that your sleep needs are still met, for at least 7 hours.

  • Don't Miss the Sahur
Breakfast is an important thing that needs to be done to start a day full of activities. During Ramadan, the usual breakfast time changes in hours, namely just before the sun rises or the time for ruling. Therefore, the role of sahur is as important as breakfast. Apart from being a provision for energy to go through the day, sahur can help us to concentrate more while carrying out activities.

Here are some motivations for living a healthy life in the month of fasting. Hopefully this will be useful for all friends of Steemit.
