The present moment, the now not what is happening. People believe that the present moment is what happens and since what happens is always changing, people believe that there are many present moments. If you look deeper, of course you don't. There is only the space of this moment. There is what happens and the space in which it happens. That space is consciousness instead of identifying with what is happening in the now, you become aware of the now itself, beyond what is happening in it. What does it mean to become aware of the now itself? You become aware of an underlying field of silence, of serenity, in which everything happens. You feel it, you don't just feel it. You realize that you are that.
