What I do for a living is showing people the path to their health & fitness goal(s). My angle is through having a mental edge against yourself, which in turn will cascade into life experiences.
I’ve meet and worked with numerous people time after time aiming for the similar goal of losing weight or feeling better not just for themselves but people there surround around 1 unfortunate yes but the reality to most.
And this is the thing, if it took you 10yrs to be overweight, it’s not necessarily the people around you but how you’ve been treating yourself in that period of time 😔
Most people have the thought that they are alone in what they are experiencing, but the truth is it’s your own self doing that is shutting everyone else out. But if you are really in an environment that is toxic for you, what is stopping you from getting out and finding something better - you have nothing to lose but yourself further.
