Notices were pasted there, which I could read, but I could also hear their audio messages. I was told to stand at the threshold when I reached the door. Then I was instructed to put my palms on the fingerprint scanner at the door. I put my palms on it. A long number appeared.
A message came: Remember this; this is your password. I noted it down. Then the door opened. According to information, this data has been collected in the system as to which creature would go to hell or heaven.
Immediately after I put my hands on the door, the door of heaven opened. There was no question in my mind or doubt that I would not go to heaven.
After all, I was born into a noble family. I was involved in pious deeds since childhood. I had spent my whole life serving others. I used to donate every year but my only shortcoming was that I was not very religious.
I was not a devotee of God, but I was humble, a good husband, a good father, and a good worker for sure. I died when I was saving a girl from drowning in the river. Can a man be better than this?
Now I could see below that my family members were crying in front of my dead body. I said, 'Fools! I have died doing a good deed, and I am going to heaven; bye-bye!'
But no one was listening. A strange fog had spread between us.
They were not able to hear what I was saying. Then the main gate opened with the biometric key. There was a dark hall. I thought there would be light in heaven, but it was dark here.
When I moved a little further, I saw a dim light. When I stepped forward, this sentence was visible in LED letters: 'Welcome to hell, those who come here, do not go anywhere!'
I was worried. What is this? I have come to hell! I thought that I would go to heaven.
I felt it was a system error.
But whom to ask? I felt that many other souls like me were also wandering here. But no one was worried about others.
I entered a huge hall and the same thick fog—only the repeated audio of "sit down" but nothing else.
Then I saw a notice, "If you have any complaints, you should go to the complaint room."
A light flashed, indicating 'path to complaint room'.
I immediately started walking towards the complaint room. It was a long hall. There were many computers there. But none was vacant.
I heard a voice saying that your waiting number is 209. I was getting angry, but there was no other way except waiting. There was no other work here, no question of hunger or thirst, so no food, no water.
I sat on a sofa. There were many other people like me waiting there. I slept for a moment, then I heard my number. I went there and sat down.
The computer said 'Welcome'.
I said 'Thanks'.
Then what happened was as follows:
'Biometric code number?'
I typed.
'Password?'
I typed.
A voice came from the computer, "Type your name."
I typed my name.
'Press 1 to confirm, press 2 to edit.'
I Pressed 1.
'Type the captcha" that was alphanumeric, in a unique style. It was not clear whether it was 'zero' or 'O'!
Before I could type, another random number appeared.
It's a problem—nothing but trouble!
Finally, after a lot of effort, I crossed that stage.
'How is the system here? If it's good, press 1. If it's not good, press 2.'
I pressed 1.
'So what is your complaint? Press the number in the list below:
I have been called here before time.
I have forgotten my name. What is my name?
I know nothing about computers; what should I do?
The arrangement is improper.
No one is here to help.
The information provided is not appropriate.
I was confused.
Just then a crackling sound came, as if the computer was angry.
'Press number 101.'
I pressed it.
'Biometric code number?'
I typed the number.
'Password?'
I typed my password.
'Wrong password; try again.'
Wrong? What happened? Oh, I typed 48 instead of 49. I corrected it and said sorry.
'What is the problem?'
'I wanted to go to heaven, but I have been sent to hell. Please correct it!'
"The system does not recognize this "Heaven" word. Please try again."
I did not understand what to do now.
'I am not the person that should go to hell; please fix it.'
Then a terrifying message came: 'The system is down; try later.' As soon as this message appeared, the computer shut down.
I told it to the person sitting next to me.
'This is nothing new. I have been trying this for the last several years. I am also getting the same message. Earlier, there was a manual system here. Now everything has become online due to mechanization. The number of people coming here is also increasing, so the pressure on the system has increased.'
'Is there no one to repair the system?'
'There is, but they all are robots. They do not talk or listen to us.'
'Yeah, a robot was sitting next to me. When I try tp talk to it, it did not respond.'
'It is a robot.'
'What should I do now?'
'Try again.'
I caught my head, 'This is hell, really!'
There was fog rotating in my mind which was not letting me think properly.
You have nicely painted that foggy, confusing atmosphere. It felt super relatable, like dealing with a frustrating system (especially in our country) we all know too well...

The system is almost the same in our part of the world. Maybe, we carry more or less the same traditions but our politicians have made them worse. My best wishes to you!

Sometimes systems fail to function properly, causing us frustration. Nothing to do but start from the beginning to get it right.😜

The system works as much as we teach it.
