Disappointment and Longing
You come in disappointment
It's a feeling that's hard to pin down
Full of longing
Even though the tears are streaming down my face
Where is the longing that used to be?
Which brings joy to this heart
You keep crying in disappointment
You wait for the bringer of hope to come
You who made me smile are gone
No words left your lips as you passed
You leave behind the longing and disappointment that shackles you
It just makes the tears fall
Beautiful memories only live here
The things we've been through together
You walked away and died all of this
You've given up all these hopes
You leave me silent here with hope
You left a deep story behind
Hope is just hope
What a sad story it gave me
The story made me cry and disappointed
The poem above tells about disappointment and longing. This is the story of someone who has been on a journey of love for a long time and finally ends in disappointment.
