We are thrilled to announce a significant Milestone in the journey of PraSaga: the launch of the SagaChain publicly viewable Private TestNet. This marks a major milestone in the progress of this project and our dedicated Community. Over the past several years, PraSaga Foundation has faced unique challenges that have set us apart from other projects, particularly in relation to the Swiss FINMA regulations.
The changes in the regulatory language, specifically the addition of three words - “on functioning blockchain” - led to necessary adjustments in our plans. These changes, while unforeseen, have reinforced our commitment to compliance and the long-term success of SagaCoin.
In late 2021 the regulatory landscape shifted, making it clear that we could not proceed with our original strategy of launching an ERC coin and later converting to native SagaCoin. Had we done so, we would have faced stringent security coin classifications under FINMA that could have impacted our decentralized mission. While this presented some obstacles, we have always remained focused on our vision, and today, we are excited to share that path forward.
With the launch of the viewer on the Private TestNet, brings us into compliance with the “functioning chain” requirement, unlocking new opportunities for the distribution of SagaCoin and expanding our community of “hodlers". In the coming weeks we will announce the official minting date for PraSaga SagaCoin ($PSC) on the private TestNet. This will enable anyone to verify the native coin minting process through block production, reinforcing the transparency and integrity of our work.
We will create accounts for PraSaga Foundation, adding an allocation that will be used for the announced upcoming launchpad. Current SagaCoin hodlers who have passed KYC/AML will open accounts for distribution of their allocations. We will add the minted Native SagaCoin to those accounts.
The Foundation will create one account for a wrapped SagaCoin ($wPSC) enabling any account owner to add a balance of Native SagaCoin from their accounts to be used as $wPSC on one or more of the following smart contracts; ERC, SRC, BSC. The launch will be via the launchpad strategy for a public sale of $wPSC.
This approach allows the Foundation to provide a way for liquidity to current hodlers, offer grants to projects and developers building on SagaChain, and begins the distribution of node sale allocations, details to follow. It also starts the 12-month unlock clock on node sale and Stage 1 of the SagaCoin Monetary Model where the market sets the price point to start the models 7-year PP appreciation cycle.
Once the public TestNet is complete and $PSC is listed on exchanges, we will proceed with converting all $wPSC to $PSC
