In this lecture by Professor @wahyunahrul , we learned the basics of Audius Muslic Platform, how does it work, The Uniqueness of the Audius Platform, and how to create an account on this platform.

Audius is a platform that is very unique, from music platforms and from decentralized blockchain platforms. So what are the audios are about? Audius is a platform that channels music through their platform, everyone knows about music today and knows how big this industry is, and later, almost everyone uses this entertainment for themselves. And the music creators, those who write, sing, and compose initially have to invest not only money but time to get monetized and they have to pay labels and fellow art workers to get monetization and fame. This billion-dollar industry has a very unfair distribution of money in which the main creator gets very little of it. That’s where audios work and offer a decentralized blockchain platform where not only creators can create and upload their music to reach masses but nobody can also steal their content. As blockchain technology is pretty advanced and really revolutionized every art and Audio is revolutionizing music.
Audius is a platform where the artist can create their music content and own it even after Audios blockchain stops artist can still have evidence and ownership as this blockchain is part of Ethereum
Audius reward its token “AUDIO” to the content creators that create music

AUDIUS is a decentralized platform but it's not totally fair because in this community only those can vote who holds or stake 200,000 AUDIO tokens which is totally unfair because by this method only whales of this community can take part in voting and decide for the people. Moreover as in any other platform majority of users or community isn’t a whale or this rich that it can buy 200,00 AUDIO which is almost $400,00, this is a massive amount, and it's insane to only let them vote who stake them for those who don’t
It’s a decentralized platform BUT its rule that only whales can vote is derailing it.
My advice to the platform is to lower down the staking limit to be a part of the node operator. This is still the very best platform compare to that centralised platform but it also can improve in my suggestion. Because decentralizing means that every user is a voter
There are two types of stacking in Audius, both of these stacking require you to connect your MetaMask wallet or any other wallet with Audius platform. Remember that streaming web is different which is audius.co but this web is audius.org
- When you go to this web you have to go to ‘explore the dashboard’
When you go to this web you must’ve seen the “CONNECT THE WALLET” option on the top right corner unlike me. I don’t know if there’s some maintenance or what but I couldn’t see that option even after changing the devices and the WiFi
Anyhow from where you can connect your MetaMask wallet with Audius
Then you will go to services
STAKING AS A CLIENT OR ARTIST
Staking as a client or artist will require you to choose your delegator or service provider
If I could operate I’d choose figment for it because it’s taking only 7% of APY
If my wallet was connected, I’d see on the left side an option “delegate” from where we can delegate to him my Audio after shifting them from my MetaMask to AUDIUS
I’d also show you the transferring screenshots and Ethereum gas fee if only my wallet could be connected to Audius
STACKING AS A NODE OPERATOR
For staking as node operator, when your wallet is connected in the service section you’d see an option of “register a new service” from where you can register a new service
Then you must choose the type of node whether its discover node or content node
Then in the next step, you’d have to choose the amount of Audius, the least could be 200,000 Audius which is almost $400,000
Now you have to confirm it through MetaMask, again if my wallet was connected I’d show you the screenshots
For making an account on Audius you either visit audius.co or download its app. I prefer application
You can either connect your social media with it to let it know your preferences or just choose them manually
You can add your name and @ here
You must at least chose 3 artists
The first is your feed your timeline on the basis of artists you chose the genre you like and the songs you might prefer to listen to. This timeline is totally under my guidance, the artists I chose are in my timeline and my favorite genre songs are there as well in my Audius account
Here is the tending section which contains trending artists the most liked lately by the users of this platform in recent times
The exploring section contains four other sub-sections Among them the first one is For You which either contain trending music or music you like
Then its mood section will show you music according to your mood. This feature is a popular feature because people like to listen to music according to their moods
Then there are different playlists set up either of artists or based on the genre for the listeners

By setting you can make favorable changes
Audius works on two nodes which are the content node and discovery node respectively. Content node is responsible for a date while discovery node is responsible for ownership
let's suppose you made music and want to upload it in Audius when you click on upload the content your content or audio will go through the content node where it stores it and validates it, now who know that you own it, that’s where discover node comes in and save it with references or accordance of your account so then it becomes “YOUR MUSIC”
That’s how two nodes work together to make this platform easy to use and perfect
It's just like any other platform which centralized in uploading but those centralized platforms use multiple nodes and hashes and it only uses two and totally trustless and decentralized
Therefore by the content node and discovery node which pick up the transaction and create a hash and index you can upload your content and own it
For uploading your content on audius you must have an account on this platform as I already showed mine I will take you to the uploading of content
By clicking or taping in “upload content” you will have;
You can browse your content and upload it here by selecting “browse”
Now in the next window, you must choose your content name its profile pic and its genre, then you can upload it by clicking continue
After 100 percent your content will be uploaded to this platform and everyone can hear it
Now your content is ready to be played by everyone and anyone
You can also watch your content on your main profile
Decentralising is a new technology and platforms like Audius is a big opportunity for those artists who have the potential and art but doesn’t have means because of controlling, third party or we can say centralization is music platforms
Platforms like Audius must grow as much as they can because they support not only blockchain technology but they are also supporting artists especially music which is very dear to most the people
