in hive-108451 •  4 years ago  (edited)

Hello everyone hope you all are fine and safe. Today i attend lecture by @sapwood sir in which i learn about the bandwidth and energy. Now i am going to submit my homework post for this lecture in which i will give answers to some questions. Bandwidth and energy is a type of fees which is used for making any transaction.

How do I connect my TronLink Wallet to Tronscan.org?

As we know tronscan.org is a website you can asses it on any browser and then connect it with tronlink wallet other way by which you can connect it with tron wallet is by using dapp option in tron wallet. As i am using tron wallet app i will go through dapps option as it is vary easy to connect through this option.

1.Open TronLink wallet click on discover option on botton.

IMG_20210512_115617.jpg

2.either write tronscan.org in the search bar or click on tronscan available in popular tools.

IMG_20210512_115817.jpg

3.when you search this you need to click on enter option.

4.your wallet will be connected automatically and you will receive notification of that.

IMG_20210512_115841.jpg

5.you can also login or register in tronscan by this process. click on login/register option.

IMG_20210512_115909.jpg

6.If you have already account just login.

IMG_20210512_120039.jpg

How do I freeze TRX to obtain Bandwidth?

1.You can see i have 4751 bandwidth and 30 energy. I want to get more bandwidth by freezing trx.

IMG_20210512_123531.jpg

5.your transaction will done successfully. Now you can check i have 4503. Because some bandwidth consumed for this transaction.

IMG_20210512_123752.jpg

How do I freeze TRX to obtain Energy?

1.Open the TronLink wallet , we can see i have 5000 bandwidth and zero energy. So i wany to get some energy buy freezing trx.

Screenshot_2021-05-12-12-09-45-674_com.tronlinkpro.wallet.jpg

2.Click on the energy option in the main page.

IMG_20210512_121734.jpg

3.Next write trx amount which you want to freeze and set energy option.

IMG_20210512_121758.jpg

4.click on freeze option at botton.

IMG_20210512_121812.jpg
5.write your password.

IMG_20210512_121837.jpg

6.your transaction has successfully done you can check i got 30 energy for 0ne tron. For this transaction i some bandwidth got consumed.

IMG_20210_121911.jpg

What types of transaction consumes Bandwidth only and what types of transaction consume both Bandwidth & Energy? Example of both types of your own wallet?

There are two types of transaction in Tronlink wallet. One is ordinary transaction which requires only bandwidth. As freezing tron for getting is the example of this ordinary transaction which i done above that requires only bandwidth. As bandwidth is free we get it daily by automatically from the exchange, other is smart contract trancation which requires both bandwidth as well as energy. The best example of this type is borrowing some assets that requirs both bandwidth and energy. Before this type of transaction you need to have energy in your wallet. As energy is not free you have to get it by freezing some trx by the above process.

ordinary transaction example from my wallet

IMG_20210512_140520.jpg

i freeze one tron for getting some bandwidth it consumes 250 bandwidth as fees.this is the example of ordinary transition. Also when i trafer some assts to other wallet it consumes only bandwidth as i send tron to other wallet it takes only bandwidth.

IMG_20210512_141859.jpg

example of smart contract transaction from my wallet
I swap some tron for the usdt. It takes 349 bandwidth and 48363 energy. As i have not that much energy so i burns my 6.7 trx coins for this smart transaction.

IMG_20210512_144654.jpg

How do I check "how much Bandwidth and Energy are consumed in a particular transaction"?

1.open tronscan.org in TronLink wallet app.

2.Then paste your trx wallet adress in search bar.

IMG_20210512_145547.jpg

3.now scroll down and click on transfers.
IMG_20210512_145602.jpg

4.Two types of transactions will appear there one is trx and Trc10 other is trc20 and trc721.

5.For checking ordinary transaction details click set trx and trc10 and then click on anu recent trancation.
IMG_20210512_145617.jpg

IMG_20210512_145629.jpg

6.I have recently done ordinary transaction which consumes 287 bandwidth.

Screenshot_2021-05-12-14-52-57-648_com.tronlinkpro.wallet.jpg

7.For checking the details of smart contract transaction consumption set trc20 and trc721.

IMG_20210512_145641.jpg

8.click on any recent trancation.i swap some tron for usdt which takes both energy as well as bandwidth.

IMG_20210512_145716.jpg

How do I avoid burning TRX to accommodate the Energy required for a transaction?

As we all know that energy is not free in the system. So for trancation if you have not enough energy that causes burn of your trx tokens that heppens in my trancation for swaping trx to usdt.

IMG_20210512_144654.jpg

Every trader didn't want to burn his tokens . for avoid burning there are two options available . one is by freezing somre trx tokens you will get energy through the above process. Other way by which you can avoid burning is rent energy.

Include the real example of your interaction with JustLend & Justswap? Indicate how a "swap"(in Justswap) function consumes different "Energy & Bandwidth" than a "borrow" function(in JustLend)? You can trade a small amount(as little as 1 USDT)? (Screenshots needed)

First i am going to use justswap

  • open tronlink wallet and click on discover option. Then click on justswap tab.

IMG_20210512_163958.jpg

  • select tokens which you want to swap , as i am going to swap trx to usdt.

IMG_20210512_164012.jpg

*write amount, i am going to swap 7.3 trx to one usdt

IMG_20210512_164025.jpg

  • Click on confirm swap and write password

IMG_20210512_164043.jpg

  • As you can see my trancation has been completed.

IMG_20210512_164055.jpg

Now i am going to check trancation consumption, i will go tronscan ans check my consumption. You can see this process takes 350 bandwidth and 33363 energy as i have not too much energy that leads me 3.17 trx burning.

Screenshot_2021-05-12-17-38-52-242_com.tronlinkpro.wallet.jpg

Now i am going to use justlend.

  • set any token as collateral as i am goint to set jtrx as collateral amount.

IMG_20210512_170910.jpg

  • Click on barrow on any token you want to borrow
    IMG_20210512_170922.jpg

  • write amount as i wrote 1 usdt.

IMG_20210512_170932.jpg

  • click on borrow and then write password your transaction will done successful

IMG_20210512_170942.jpg

  • You can see i have now two usdt
    IMG_20210512_170957.jpg

Now i am going to my consumption , it takes 313 band width and a huge energy of 189506 and burns my huge amount of 26.53 tron.

Screenshot_2021-05-12-17-17-21-118_com.tronlinkpro.wallet.jpg

From the above it can see justlend takes a huge consumption of energy that causes burn of huge trx tokens

Explore Tronscan(check your own wallet) to identify an "ordinary transfer" & a "Smart-contract-operated transfer"? Indicate the difference between the two

  • open tronlink wallet app. Then click on discover option.

IMG_20210512_192025.jpg

  • click on tronscan tab.

IMG_20210512_192036.jpg

  • paste tron adress and then click on search tab

IMG_20210512_192047.jpg

  • Click on transfers option.

IMG_20210512_192112.jpg

  • There is two option one is trx and trc10 and trc20 and trc721

  • clicking on trx and trc10 tab will give you details of ordinary transactions

IMG_20210512_192124.jpg

  • By clicking on trc20 anx trc721 tab will give you
    Smart contract transaction details.

IMG_20210512_192134.jpg

From the above i observe that ordinary trancation that means trx and trc10 transaction needs only bandwidth while trc20 and trc721 that means smart contract trancation needs both energy as well as bandwidth .
