Observations and Suggestions
This week was not so good to be frank. The engagement was impressive but it seems as though the topic was difficult to the students. There was quite a number of shabby work as many students did not properly grasp the fork concept.
To address the issue, I would like to highlight the following;
Goal review: It’s clear that some of us just want to make the posts, earn rewards and be done with it but that shouldn’t be so. The goal should be Quality. We understand that the courses might be a bit overwhelming especially at the beginners’ level but the grading system will not change. Students should always strive to make quality contents on the tasks given. Striving for quality breeds self improvement on every aspect and the rewards will come on their own.
Going slow: You cannot know it all at once. It’s important to take it step by step to actually gain the experience on the topic. Trying to assimilate all the info at once can be really overwhelming and would just leave the student confused in the end.
Research and understanding: The process of researching should not be with the intent of paraphrasing the sites. Research should be a process of further enlightenment on the topic. Understanding helps a lot in expression. It will be clear that the writer knows what they are saying.
Thoroughness: I mentioned this last time. It is really important that all parts of the topic are covered when doing the homework tasks. No part is more important than the other. Every aspect comes together to make the whole and without one, there won’t be a whole.
Creativity and originality: Straight to the point, I purposely did not mention some similarities of the Genesis blocks of Steem and hive because I expected the students to indicate them. Students should learn to dig into a topic. Don’t be scared to express yourself the best way you can too. The goal is to ensure that you understand at all angles. While digging though, relevance should be considered s
Ask Questions: And finally, always ask questions. My comment sections are always open and I will attend to every question to the best of my abilities.
Top 3 tasks of the week
The tasks have been thoroughly checked. It’s very important that we learn from one another in the academy as we foster a healthy competition.
The top 3 for the week are;
