BANDA ACEH - The monument at the Simpang Lima roundabout in Banda Aceh has been established since 1994.

Since then, this monument has changed shape several times.

The current monument was built by Bank Bukopin in 2016 and inaugurated on May 14, 2017.

The Simpang Lima roundabout is often the center of student demonstrations and residents in Aceh.
