Introduction

I want to start by saying that health is people's top priority because without good health no one can do anything or be able to carry out their activities effectively. And health care and the health industry are some of the most important and developing sectors in each country today. The people's lives call it HEALTH is the government priority.

And blockchain also is one of the things today that its growth is amazing. Its security is something else and it has the peoples mind and attention. Health care and blockchain are the trending in the world at large. And the way technology is going individuals need their privacy to be secured. This topic will be discussed under the following sub-heading:-

• Health System
• Blockchain and its functions
• Blockchain as an enhancing technology for health industries.

Health System

Health is the mental or physical or emotional condition of an individual. A system is a group or set or a collection of organized things working together to achieve a specific goal. This is the organisations, institutions and resources targeted at the health need of a population.

They are organisations or institutions whose actions are geared towards producing health needs, protecting and improving the health of the people. Health System is called Healthcare System. The health system or health industry is also geared towards producing and providing varieties of healthcare services to the needs of a population or individual.

Some parts of health industries and their challenges

• Pharmaceuticals industry:

This part of the health industry deals with the discovery, production and supply that is the marketing of all kinds of medicated drugs to administer to a patient and to distribute to other healthcare centres. Their aim is targeted at producing drugs or medical drugs that will eliminate the diseases or the symptoms and care for the patient of any illness which they are experiencing.

Some challenges facing pharmaceutical industries:

• Supply Chain disruption. This issue or challenge is almost a challenge to other industries. And this challenge has limited the patient from not accessing the pharmaceuticals.
• Lack of Records concerning the areas of collection and analysis of huge amounts of data. Record keep and data collection are as important as anything.
• Poor quality of some pharmaceuticals in some areas of the country.

Medical equipment and device manufacturing industry:

This aspect of health care deals with the manufacturing of all kinds of medical technologies needed for the treatment, of a patient, and diagnosing and monitoring devices used to check a patient's health. They are also aimed at designing and producing medical products or instruments for diagnosing, monitoring and other medical instruments for treatment.

Some challenges facing medical technology(med-tech) industries:

• Lack of record keeping in the areas of production of instruments.
• Lack of authenticity of instruments.

Blockchain & It's Function

Blockchain is a technology built for the recording of information in a way that is difficult to alter or change and difficult to hack. It is one technology whose functionality today is amazing and in the nearest future companies and industries will incorporate it into all their works because of its security.

The Function Of Blockchain Technology

Though blockchain is a technology built for financial companies or industries because of its features it will be adopted by other industries. The following are some of the features which are needed or that attracts other industries:

• Security and Privacy: Because of the way things are going people and companies needs their privacy secured. And this is enough reason to attract companies to use the technology.

• Storage: technology is taking over or has taken over already for that reason Manuel record or storage is gradual phasing out

Blockchain as an enhancing technology for health industries

Because of patient privacy blockchain is needed and it will be of great use in the health industry for documenting patients details for easy access.

The following are the positive changes blockchain will bring to the healthcare industry:

• Time:- It will save the doctor and the patient time and energy for the second time after the data or the details of the patient must have been taken correctly on the first visit to the clinic, lab, or hospital of much explanation and what is expected from the doctor to carry out on the patient.

• Privacy and Security:- It gives the patient a licensed that is access his or her data or details with the use of a private key or password.

• Storage and Retrieval: It will help in storing patient's data or details and make it easy to access and retrieve.

Let's Look at One Important Enhancement Project as Regrdas to Blockchain & Healthcare

From the above positive changes that Blockchain technology will yield to healthcare system, we have seen time, privacy & security, and also storage and retrievals. Below, I will briefly discuse some potential application that blockchain technology would play in the healthcare system.

Internet of Things and Healthcare system

We studied about the significant of IoT on our last task. How would this technology play a role in the healthcare system?

Industries are increasing in the use of technologies, recently, IoT technology was adopted by some industries even some healthcare administration also adopted this mechanism in order to enhance the diagnostic devices so every workers can work efficiently, and also improve transparency in every sector of the system.

Despite the use of this mechanism in such healthcare administration, security can also become a hindrance in such a way that patient's data will be disclosed to outsider which is not supposed to be so. Now, since we know blockchain technology as security inclined, it can be introduced into this system to help erase the leakage of security and privacy. How?

Blockchain makes use of cryptographic mechanism, and of course encrypted data cannot be disclosed by any third party except the participant of that administration. The data of patients in the healthcare system can be stored distributed ledger using cryptographic method (encryption & decryption).

Furthermore, blockchain is decentralized in nature, which means it will not be entertaining any third party that would be acting as centralized body as such making it more secure in terms of relating to the IOT device.

CONCLUSION

People's health privacy has been compromised or reviewed by doctors without the patient's approval. On this note, blockchain becomes a necessity to the healthcare industry. Blockchain is a technology that will improve and enhance the healthcare industry to achieve better results.
