This competition is open to everyone, whether you are a novice wanting to gain a solid foundation in trading or an experienced trader looking to refine your techniques and explore new strategies. Throughout this season, you will have the opportunity to participate in weekly challenges that will cover different aspects of technical trading, from data analysis to decision-making under pressure.

Background

As financial markets become increasingly complex and volatile, the ability to understand and interpret market data through technical analysis has become essential for any trader who wishes to excel.

This focus on technical trading grew out of a recognition of our community's growing needs and interests for in-depth, practical skills in this area. Many of our members have expressed a desire to improve their ability to navigate the markets not only to improve their personal trading performance but also to enrich their understanding of the financial mechanisms that influence our economies and investments on a daily basis.

“Mastering the Markets: A Technical Analysis Challenge” is designed to meet these needs by providing a structured framework where participants can learn, apply and demonstrate proficiency in the use of technical analysis tools. This weekly challenge will serve as a platform for novices to gain a solid foundation and for experienced traders to refine and test their strategies in a competitive but educational environment.

So, we launch this season with a renewed commitment to providing educational and practical value, helping our community grow and succeed in the dynamic world of trading.

What do we expect from the competition?

• What is the importance of technical knowledge in trading? Describe the key components and information you can gather from a technical chart.

• Explain how to read candlestick charts and the significance of different time frames in trading.

• Define chart patterns and differentiate between continuation patterns and reversal patterns. How can chart patterns be utilized to set effective stop-loss orders?

• What is Trading View and how can it be used to apply technical indicators in real-time trading? Describe the relationship between support and resistance levels and how technical indicators can aid in understanding these concepts.

• Provide an overview of pivot points and discuss their calculation and significance in trading. Explain how to configure and trade with pivot points, including strategies for pivot point reverse trading.

Contest Guidelines

• This 1st week, will take place from May 20 to 26, 2024.

• The article should be at minimum 500 words. You can write more. Your article must be free of any form of plagiarism.

• Your article title should be SEC S18-W1 || Mastering the Markets with technical analysis . Add the tag #cryptoacademy-s18w1 and other relevant tags.

• Participants must be appropriately following #club5050 or #club75 or #club100.

• Participants must be verified and active users on the platform.

• The community moderators would be leaving quality assessments on your articles and probable upvotes.

• In addition, your article must get at least 10 upvotes and 5 valid comments to count as valid in the contest, so ensure you interact with other users' entries. Do not be involved in vote-buying.

Rewards

• SC01 would be checking on the entire 7 participating communities and upvoting outstanding content. Upvote is not guaranteed for all articles. Kindly take note.

• At the end of the week, we would nominate top 3 users that had performed well in the contest and they would be eligible for votes from SC01/SC02.
