Hence the topic is really good to be discussed which is as follow SteemitCryptoAcademy community and the topic of discussion for this week is Bots in the Steem Chain. I would try to explain it upto my knowledge.

What is a voting bot in Steemit?

Everyone who is working on the seemit platform it's very understood that steemit is work on the decentralised blockchain system that work on the proof of brain which means that quality posts are voted.

On steemit we may interact with others post and also do upvotes and mostly its done by users itself. If we talk about bot system they do votes by automated control system normally.

What mechanisms they used for voting?, bot system worked on automated system for voting. For these bot system used delegation power or steem or sbd which which they had bought. So basically they worked on paid voting system.

So in simple words it can be better understood bid-bot based on paid upvotes to the user, they didn't use any principles of proof of brain system and voted any post rather its good quality or poor don't matter.

So it can be concluded bid-bot worked on paid vote system which infact does not follow the roles of steemit blockchain.

It has been noticed the bid-bot system always active since anybody posts on steemit it can be observed by bid-bot system immediately.
Now the question comes in mind is all bid-bot worked on paid automatic system, definitely the answer would be no.

There are certain bid-bot that are good enough who worked on the criteria based and contribute for the betterment of steemit. The voting doesn't required any payment system. They may preferred the post that are good and ignored the poor ones.

As I the mentioned above the bot system mostly worked on the basis of paid voting system. It can be of two types the one type in which the bot worked for voting while using the steem power delegation, higher the amount of delegation more would be the amount of vote on posts.

While the second criteria which bot systems may used is the reward which is generated and then distribution among the users according to their role either weekly or on daily basis however every bot system has their own specific role for voting on the posts.

Is it worth using the bid bots to get upvotes in Steemit?

In my observation bid-bot system is not a good way to get vote because it is totally based on the delegation or the amount of money paid for voting purpose.

Infact the post qualities doesn't matter anymore only the amount of money matter how much the user has paid to the bot system. The more is the amount of money the more will be the user can get vote might be the poor quality post become more visible on steemit platform just for paid bot amount.

No doubt the user with bot system may get better visibility and reward system hence despite of all this its not good for steemit platform as it disrupt the users who are posting high quality contents and overall may exert the negative impression on system.

The user which is hard worker and rely on the quality of content may never used it nor preferred it to buy votes through the bot system because as compared to poor work the quality works always sound good to others users.

I personally do not like bot system nor i would like to use it because i prefered to work hard to earn well rather adapting these ways which are not favourable for steemit platform anyway.

Why are bid-bot upvoted posts still getting downvoted on Steemit and why does Steemit still punish its users for upvoting with bots?

Its well understood that bot system is mostly worked on the automatic vote system which are not original, genuine way to judged quality of contents and it will create a chance for poor contents to be more visible. It letting down the users which are working hard and are actively participating in different contests and challenges.

The bot system is mostly worked on the delegation, or we can say that it is based on the money paid by user to bot system, steemit platform doesn't encourages it any cost because it may disturb the stability of platform.

Moreover the bot paid users are not visible on platform always because they spend less time on steemit and may less actively work. Because they get maximum reward in return and seems does not need to work hard and spend more time to earn well.

So these are the reason the steemit platform does not favor the bot system for voting purpose and discouraged such uers who are using bot system for rewarding. Steemit platform always punish such users.

How did Steemit combat bid-bot accounts?

The steemit team always adopt strategy to discourage the bot system because they never liked it to grow on steemit platforms. Because the purpose of steemit platform is to grow the users who work original and can producec quality contents for the system.

In order to combat steemit team downvotes such posts which may used any bot system in order to get support as these are never encouraged by steemit it they may flag or downvotes such post.

I guess this is one of the best way so that other users may not adapt it for earning money because such methods disturb the reward pool system of platform and also reduced the visibility of good posts.

Moreover, bot suers person are never been found at good roles like community curator or any such positive role because they doesn't have ability nor they deserve so these are the best ways which steemit used to discouraged such users.

Advantages and disadvantages of voting bots in Steemit?

If i see the advantages of bot system these are just few which are still not in favor of steemit platform and not liked at all.

• As the users used paid method for voting system his post may become visible to most of the users and more people can read it.

• Through bot system users can get reward immediately and doesn't have to wait after posting contents.

• He may become more visible by increase in steem power or reputation too in short time span on steemit platform.

• Through less active and spending less time users still may get more rewards and used it for different purposes.

There are the certain disadvantages which voting bot system have.

• the bot voting system does not work on proof of brain system and thus quality content may not become more visible.

• it disturbed the reward pool system for the user who are working hard on the steemit platform.

• Poor quality posts become more visible and discouraged the users who actually shared valuable knowledge in their posts.

It can be concluded the voting bot syatem are not good on steemit platform at anyway its always down voted and discouraged by steemit team.
