What is axies infinity? what everyone talks about !! (Part 1: introduction)

It is an online game of the Player-vs-Player (PvP), Pay-to-Win and Pay-to-Earn type, which uses the Ethereum blockchain technology that was created in 2018 by the Vietnamese company Sky Mavis. In the game, the user is able to create characters that are represented by means of an NFT token (non-fungible token) turning them into cryptographic collectibles, which you can improve to put in battles for which you can obtain virtual money. This money can be used to improve that same character, obtain another or trade with them to obtain more Profits.
Axie Infinity is a game in which you must gather the best Axies, creatures that you can use to fight against other players or against the game's artificial intelligence (hence its PvP dynamic). The idea is that you improve your creatures in order to face more players and earn more money as your level increases. The improvement of these creatures is possible because each Axie has a series of qualities that you can refine as you add improvements to them, which puts you at better levels to face more powerful opponents.

But in addition to this, and based on blockchain technology, the Axies have certain unique and unrepeatable characteristics among them. For example, an Axie may have "digital genetics" that make it more resistant to certain attacks. Likewise, that same "digital genetics" allows him to have capacities that only that Axie can have, and that can favor his upbringing and subsequent improvement. In other words, each Axie is unique and depends only on your ability as a breeder, exploiting the maximum possibility of it.

If this game dynamic brings you longings, it is no wonder, it is a dynamic very similar to what we see, for example, in games like Pokemon, only, in this case, you can make money with your Axies.

What are AXS and SLP tokens in Axie Infinity?

Axie Infinity uses Ethereum's blockchain technology to build two unique tokens for its game which are the AXS and SLP tokens. Here I will explain what each of these tokens are:

The AXS or Axie Infinity Shard token is an ERC-20 token of Ethereum that allows players to receive rewards for their participation in the game. For example, we can take our holdings of AXS and make a staking of them for which we will obtain interest that will be added to our final holdings. We can also use the AXS to participate in the decentralized governance of the game and support the community treasury to further the development of Axie Infinity and its community.

AXS is a recently created token since it was made public in November 2020, and for that reason many of its functions are not fully implemented yet. However, the objective of AXS is clear by offering easy access to a decentralized finance system that will serve to incentivize the use of the game and maintain its development at all times.

SLP Token
The SLP or Small Love Potion token is an ERC-20 type token that is used to receive rewards for each battle won within Axie Infinity. Remember that Axie Infinity is a PvP game, so each battle you win, you should receive a reward of "experience points", well, instead of that you are rewarded with SLP token that you can then use as you wish.

SLP tokens are fundamental to the game. For example, if you want to start the breeding of an Axie, you must have 100 SLP of balance for such action. If you want to improve your Axie, each of these improvements will have a given cost in SLP, and if you want to have hatchlings or more Axies in your possession, then you will have higher expenses in SLP.
