our homework topic is what are the security issues with cryptocurrency how can we keep our holding safe.
This topic is very important for everyone who is associated with crypto.

when it comes to digital currency there also come concern with its security. some exchange sites are not that secure although cryptocurrencies are secure and can be hacked because of their weak security or loopholes. Most exchanges store the wallet data of users to operate their user ID properly. This data can be stolen by hackers, giving them access to a lot of accounts. After getting access, these hackers can easily transfer funds from those accounts

To appreciate the risks of buying cryptocurrencies, it's essential to understand that any digital currency is accessed via a private "key," which is a complex password code that grants users access to a digital account.
“When it comes to risks with cryptocurrency, I think the main one is that most people store their private key on their PC like any other file," said Bryan Gour, cyber innovation architect at City National Bank. “There are a lot of dangers associated with keeping a key on a computer. It's highly risky because it's so easy for hackers to access a person's computer. And once a key is stolen, there's no getting it back. It's like having a credit card with no authentication check. That money is gone for good."

An individual's private key is the only way to access this kind of investment, therefore it's vital to keep it safe. “One of the best things to do to protect yourself is not to keep your key online where it can be hacked
be responsible in keeping your keys and other ways to recover your account and beware of scams that offer big profit in a short period of time and those phishing sites that immediately compromised your account if you deal with it.
Sometimes we want to have more cryptocurrencies. While doing this, we would like to obtain it in an easy way, shortly, without making much effort. Scammers are aware of this. They can get all your information through bonuses or airdrop traps. From time to time, we encounter airdrop scammers on the Steem blockchain.
as We are in control of our account and if something happened to it there's no one to blame but you.
My experience
I have never faced such an attack and I hope this doesn't happen to anyone in the future follow all the possible methods to safeguard yourself and reading this post has given me even more awareness. I will be following the steps suggested over here.
