I am happy to learn new things because of steemit cryptoacademy. Today i have learnt some good thing about voting and curation which i shall be putting forward in my post below as demanded by homework task by
@sapwood. So here is it;
Voting on any post gives us reward once that post pays out and that is known as curation reward. The ideal time for earning curation reward is five minutes to seven days . Voting before 5 minutes or after 7 days leads to alteration in curation reward and let me tell you how it goes;
Voting on any post before 5 minutes decreases curation reward of the voter who votes before 5 minutes . The decrease in curation reward varies depending upon the time interval at which vote is casted.

While looking at above image posted by @sapwood in homework post, we can clearly understand that voting at one minute decreases our curation reward by 80% and that reward (80%) is returned to the steemit reward pool. Similarly voting at 4 minutes after posting decreases curation reward by only 20%.
As for my understanding of curation rewards is concerned, it is presumed that , to read any post , it would take at least five minutes. So to avoid voting on posts without reading , an interval of 5 minutes has been
kept.

Voting on post beyond 6 days and 12 hours causes linear decline in vote worth as shown in image above and voting beyond 7 days does not increase post reward. We can understand it as, suppose if we vote on any post with the age of 6 days and 15 hours with hundred percent vote strength, only 75% of the vote weight will be added to that post and so on
How do I check how much reward of a post has returned to the reward pool in Steem Blockchain? Include screenshots (Hint- Steemworld.org)
Go to steemworld.org and click on log in from top right corner.
Login with the help of posting key and click om Dashboard.
Than look for posts, a list will appear showing your posts. You can look for your active posts or posts that already paid out. Cluck on the posts and see all the details as gown below
In above post, no reward has returned to steemit reward pool.

Looking at above image, we understand that a post with a payout of $16 will give curation reward of 200 % to the first voter(s). We can easily predict it from above image that more and more number of voters will get reward greater than hundred percent as post reward increases.
So one more point that i understood today is , a voter can get more than hundred percent curation reward even voting before 5 mins in case where curation reward is very high. Suppose a voter is expected to get 200% curation reward on any post on which he voted at 4 minutes interval. As projected, 20% of his curation reward will go to steemit reward pool . so even if we deduct 20% of 200% , voter still will get 140% reward.

Go to steemworld.org and login as above. Than go to Dashboard. Click on curation rewards. As i have 0 voting power so i have 0 curation rewards.

As my voting power will increase , when I'll vote than there will be share of my vp in those posts and when posts are paid out I'lll be getting curation rewards.
What is the role of curation in better content discovery in Steem Blockchain?
Curation plays an important role in content discovery in steam blockchain . Let's take voting aspect of the curation, voting on a post increases its chances of being recognised by community members . Let me tell you how. whenever we try to find any category of post on steemit , we find trending posts. Trending posts are those posts that have good post rewards on them . Post rewards are because of voting
and voting is a part of curation and therefore curation helps in content discovery.
Now, moving on to the second aspect of curation, that's resteeming. Resteeming of post creats network effect , due to which a resteemed post is able to reach more and more users. We can see resteemed posts of many people who are not our friends but their posts are resteemed by our friends.
