Steemit Crypto academy feedback for season5

Hello everyone, good to see you all again. Much respect to all the professors. I create time to participate in this amazing privilege that is given to us in order to express our sincere mind.

What worked well in the academy.

The introduction of academy programs have been the best thing that I’ve seen. People are opportuned to learn about crypto without paying unlike out there that people pay huge amount to get a little knowledge.


Dividing the courses into categories is very nice as well.

Students that scored maximum grade received a reward for their hard work and this really triggered others to work harder too. The addition of club5050, club70 and club100 upvote to the participants enforced students to power up unlike previous seasons. This act does not only benefits the student but the entire steemit blog.

what did not work well?

Please, 150sp is tough. Most especially beginners.
There are three level courses.
Curation reward is not the same. Beginners course student receive less.
Apparently, less than 30% of beginners course students receive more than $19 upvote. Apart from Crypto Academy, getting a nice upvote from communities is rare. Personally, I've power up all my little payouts for 2^1/2 months now which have qualify me for club70. Yet, no club5050 upvote not to talk of club70.


The table below illustrates the current operation in courses.

Checking the table, there is no equity in monthly power up row but others are unique.

Let’s compare the monthly power up with payment of federal tax. Junior civil servants don’t pay same amount with senior civil. Private industries does not pay same amount with petty traders. Every establishment tax amount increases as a result of the size of the business.


Professors upvotes are lesser when compared with advance course student upvotes.
A professor will research and lecture students then also spends countless hours on reading lots of students assignments and also submit summaries of the week course within a week. Yet will receive less than $200 upvote.
On the other hand, an advance course student will submit 2 advance, 1 intermediate and beginner assignments and get about 70% of their upvotes. Yet, still have time to relax unlike professors.
That’s not fair.


Another important issues the regular issuing of lectures that demands real transaction even in beginners courses.

I think there should be a review on marking scheme. People that score less than 5 marks should not be ignored entirely. There should be an appreciation for their efforts.

How would you improve the academy?

I suggest that the power up should be base on the level course since each level course have a different curation.
That is; 50sp for beginners
75sp for Intermediate
100sp for advanced.**
The table below should be adapt or the rules should even be scrapped out.

By so doing, anybody can purchase a steem to participate, maintain his/her power up and qualify for Intermediate or advanced if his/her reputation and steem power is enough for the level. As for me, I have to purchase steems since my posts are not curated even though I have qualify for club70. Else, I and many others out there that are facing same challenge will miss this season again.


Presumably, this have affect lot of beginners and even intermediate/advanced course students as well but they have not been able to voice it.
On my knees, I plead for a review as it will help everyone to grow.


Professors upvote should be increased to minimum $200 so that they will have a nice left out after participating in club5050. Please, they deserve it.


Please, real transactions should be avoided in beginners course and a little amount of transactions can be used in intermediate courses.

What I enjoyed most and what I learnt from academy

Reading most of the assignments have exposed my knowledge of crypto currencies. Although, I’ve not start real trade but I’m motivated to start it because of the knowledge that I’ve gathered.

Has the academy inspired you to continue learning more about crypto subjects? If so, how and where have you extended your crypto learning.

It has inspired me to expand my knowledge. I appreciate it and hoping to acquire more knowledge.

Conclusion

Crypto academy have help me to learn about cryptocurrency. I was opportune to read on Alligator indicator lectured by Prof. kouba01. Although I wasn’t a participant of the assignment, I leant a lot after researching on it.
I’ll continue to thank many others for their efforts.
Missing last season was painful but I always take time to read some lectures.
