Hello Steemians, crypto academy trading competition week 2 season 6 has ended. The week ran from 00:00 am Sunday 27th February 2022 to 11:59 pm Saturday 5th March 2022. This is my first time leading my team in the trading competition and I'm glad to say that I was impressed by the performance of the participants.

30 participants joined team Reminane in the 2nd week of the competition. Only 16 participants were qualified to enter the competition as they met all the requirements. Meanwhile, the remaining 14 participants were disqualified for failing to follow the guidelines of the competition.

The table below shows users who were disqualified and the reason for their disqualification. The correction to address this will be found later in this post.

All the users posted their trades daily while answering the following questions on the Coin/token they traded.

  • The name and introduction of the project token, which exchanges it can be traded on, project / technical information of the coin/ team background, etc.
  • Why you are optimistic about this token today, and how long do you u wish it can rise.
  • How to analyze the token? (This can technical analysis and trading strategies learned from professor's courses) - This section is very important.
  • Your plan to hold it for a long time or when to sell.
  • Do you recommend everyone to buy this token? Give reasons for your answer.
  • Any other thing you might want to share about this coin/token.

The majority of the users carried out spot trading for buy trades and also sell them when the price appreciates. Whereas, some users took advantage of leveraged trading to capitalize on both up and down movement of price. Only a few users were able to trade CFDs using brokerage firms. Out of the 69 trades that were carried out by the qualified participants, 49 trades were winning while 20 were losing trades. We can see that in the pie chart below.

Total profit from the team = $38.352
Total no of trades = 69
Total no of winning Trades = 49
Total no of losing Trades = 20

Team Ratio = Total no of winning Trades / Total no of Trades
= (49 ÷ 69) × 100 = 71.01%

Top 3 Participants

There were many entries in Team Reminane this second week. However, some participants were exceptional in their trading operations. This includes the total number of trades, the quality and technical analysis carried out, and also the profit realized by each user while following the proper guidelines for the competition. Feedback and Recommendations

Crypto_Academy_divider_3.png

  • Firstly, I'm impressed with the performance of the participants in this trading competition. The majority of the users paid attention to the competition guidelines and executed their trades correctly. I was amazed to see all the lessons I have thought being put into practice. This includes support and resistance, market structure, confluence trading, multi-timeframe analysis, etc.
  • I noticed most participants still have poor chart analysis and this makes it difficult for them to make a good trading decision in the market. Like I will always tell my students, trading is all about having patience and discipline for your trading setup to unfold in the market. Only then can you capitalize on this opportunity and make a good profit. You don't have to chase the market.
  • Some of the participants were analyzing the market using only a lower timeframe like the 5mins, 10mins. This can be risky as you do not have enough price information. I always recommend multi-timeframe analysis from the higher timeframe to have a clear understanding of the market trend. Some traders were counter trending (trading against the trend) and this resulted in losing trades. The trend is your friend and you should always trade according to the trend.
  • Most of my students are familiar with confluence trading in the crypto market. I see some participants relying on only indicators for trading decisions. Indicators work best as a confirmation tool to other technical analysis tools. Relying only on an indicator is risky and can lead to a losing trade. Price action tools like chart patterns, support, and resistance, market structures are the key basis a trader should always focus on.
  • Finally, risk management has remained the most important aspect of trading. Before executing your trades, ensure that you have identified your exit positions either in profit or in a loss. The crypto market is highly volatile and anything can happen anytime in the market. I always recommend setting stoploss and take profits at strategic positions like support and resistance levels, swing high and lows. Some users were trading with leveraged funds with a margin of 20×. I trust you understand margin trading and also the risks involved in such a market.

Corrections for users who were Disqualified

In the invitation post, we clearly explained the formation to fill the Google form and also how to enter the data for your trades. This information is analyzed in Google sheet and inputting the data incorrectly makes it very difficult for us to analyze them effectively. This week, I was able to manually correct some data which was a difficult task to do. Please kindly follow the format below while entering your data.

BTC/USD, BUY, 37000,38500,+100
Correct Format

BTC/USD Buy, $37,000, $38,500, +100
Incorrect format.

The format above is very simple and using the wrong format complicates the data and makes it difficult to analyze the data. You can see that every entry is separated using a (coma). Also, you do not need to include a coma in the entry and closing prices.

The screen record should contain the transaction receipt or transaction details of your position. Most users uploaded videos explaining how they executed their trades. Also, ensure that transactions on the video correspond with the data you uploaded and also the data on your post. You should always try as much as possible to upload a viewable video.

Conclusion

Crypto_Academy_divider_3.png

The 2nd week of the trading competition was successful. Though some users are still struggling with technical analysis and also how to fill the Google form properly. I believe the next competition will be different as corrections and recommendations have been made on this week's trade.

Trading in the crypto market comes with a high risk due to the highly volatile nature of the market. Always invest what you can afford to lose and ensure that you maintain proper risk management before executing your trades.

Thank you for participating in this trading competition.

Thank you for the list. If you can put it in alphabetical order next time that would be very useful.

There's no problem. I will do that.

Hello @steemcurator02, I just made a repost of one of my trading posts for which I was mentioned. It expired before you could vote. Please if could you visit it, I would appreciate it.

P.S: I noticed something on your account via steemworld recently. It's described as 'Claim Account'. If you don't mind, it looks new to me. Hope there's nothing to worry about?

Hello @steemcurator02 if you could kindly visit my post which I reposted after it had paid out. The Link to the post.
Thank you @steemcurator02

Prof @reminiscence01 please there is a mistake it is @arinzegod12, the account @arinzegod21 doesn't exist. Please confirm this.

@steemcurator02

Corrected

Thanks very much Professor for rating my work among the top 3. I'm very grateful

I want to bring to your notice that you used a wrong Homework Post Link for me.

Thanks once again 👍🏾

Alright. I will check it out.

Good afternoon professor for the
post and corrections.

Please I wish to enquire, this disqualification does it mean the weekly post will not be curated?

Congratulations to the winners

The decision is left for SC02. The report disqualifies your entry for the competition.

I hope we are not left out in the curation.
It will be very frustrating and sad to lose both top 3 and curation.

Profit and loss is not the difference between entry price and closing price. You should be able to calculate that using the difference between the invested capital when you purchased the asset and when you sold.

I think this is the problem with your entry.

Ok sir. I wasn't in the know about this. Well ignorance is not an excuse in law. I guess I am learning the hard way.

Again, thank you sir for your inputs, corrections and kind advice. I think I am growing to be a better trader

Please I have noticed some slight difference between the correct format given and what is to be done in the form.

iMarkup_20220307_102219.jpg

No coma after the asset pair symbol, all position letters not in uppercase, and space after each coma.

I tried to make corrections and edit some inputs myself. The format in the report is the correct format where every detail is separated using a comma.

Okay.
Such errors are the reasons why some of us shouldn't be disqualified, and as my brother @imanthadd said, the uploaded videos include everything concerning our trades, so it will be unfair to be disqualified due to some minor alleged errors.
Five days publication of trades with some loses, data consumption and sleepless nights. 😔
Please @steemcurator01 for the first time, consider our efforts and resources that we sacrificed for the tasks.
Thank you.

I won't work with wrong data. I tried my best to correct some data which were a hard work to do. Your own case is different as i won't be able watch your video and start calculating your PNL. Next time, try and input your data correctly and ensure what you have in the video corresponds to the data you submitted.

Noted.

Dear prof @reminiscence01 and @nane15, why did you disqualified me? I did 5 spot trades and I have asked you about the data entry on Saturday and you said you will calculate the profit. Otherwise i would have enter those. In my uploaded video also all the transactions are very clear. Dear prof, i understand that there are lots of entries for you. And it's really time consuming. For us also writing those posts took lots of time. But i have asked you before the deadline. Please don't neglect like this and it really hurts. In last week as i have mentioned you, I entered those details in the same way as the professor suggested. I will attach his reply also. Please correct this.

A6910C58-01D7-4FF8-BDDC-AA444A6C7BFC.jpeg

I understand your point. It was very difficult to compute your data as there are other factors I needed that I couldn't obtain. I couldn't calculate your PNL for data analysis.

If you have asked me to enter those, i would have enter. In my video also there are all the necessary information to calculate the p&L. Then no trouble like this will occur. Please give a value to my time also. Because i'm also an Engineer like you. Can you?

I understand you spent so much time performing these tasks. I will try my best and see what I can do concerning this. But understand that it was difficult for me to handle your case while computing the data.

Okay prof, thank you. I have a suggestion. Please mention a proper way to input spot trades also in coming weeks if there are any.

I'm hoping for a reply regarding my issue. And i totally value your time and effort.

Cheers🥂

I will definitely do that. Thanks

Dear prof @reminiscence01, One of my post is going to expire today.

Did you found any solution to my problem? I didn't mention sc02 or anyone here because i don't want to. But i want justice.

I have already given you enough explanation on why your entry was disqualified. I have already appealed to the team and I hope they respond positively to this. I apologize for any inconvenience this might. Your time and effort is highly appreciated. Thank you

Actually I don't want to argue, but this needs to be clarified. First, I used bidbot three years ago, which means that steemit is still owned by @ned not justin sun. Second, I used bots after my reputation was 60. It's ok, I have power down and will not be involved in this community anymore.

I just planned to be active again in steemit, but the current community rules really damage the reputation of the steemit platform in the eyes of crypto lovers. Thus, fewer people will join steemit, maybe even people who are active at this time are slowly starting to leave steemit and switch to other platforms because of the rules that do not reflect steemit as a decentralized platform.

I always try to power up and join club100, although I don't understand why this idea exists on a media platform like steemit where users should be free to withdraw and sell their coins, plus many people use steemit to make ends meet. forgive me, i think i have no right to talk like this and say this all. I am a steemit user who witnessed the destruction of the steemit platform in the past because the CEO at that time was anti-critic and never listened to suggestions from users. Many communities in the past were also destruction by imposing unreasonable rules.

Have a nice day 🙏😊

It's ok. I will report this to the team to take a decision.

Professor @reminiscence01, I am here again because I am worried. You have been one of my loved and greatest academy professor.

My worry somes up with that of other participants. I for one took alot of time combined with my daily work to identify and trade, as you can see from my video, I did more than 5 trade but posted just on give requested.

It really hurts to get disqualified bc of the format we used to input our profit and loss. I know profit and loss in a business is Total sell minus total cost.

Well, this is not really a big problem. My issue is as I earlier asked, those this disqualify us from curation. Atleast we need to know. Because I got above 5 grades. I am also asking too for subsequent contest. Two of my post have expired without curation. So please for a definite as answer. Do we repost or we shouldn't bother.

Please professor @kouba01, help me answer this. So I know what to do. Thank you sir for your prompt response..

Have a beautiful day.

Like i said previously, the curators are in the right position to make a decision. I have already made an appeal for them to consider those disqualified.

Thank you very much Prof.
That is good of you.

Ok sir. Thank you for your efforts
