Hello everyone!!
It’s another sequence on listing your own token in the crypto academy so we have in this week How to list your own token on a public exchange by professor @reddileep. It’s always my pleasure to participate in such a learning platform.
1-Define your idea of listing a Crypto token in a public Crypto Exchange and what its significance is.
There is some mission, vision, and proper planning for any project launching in the market. That unique project feature makes difference and leaves their footprint. So of course there is no doubt a lot for documentation and validation of project perform in the background. In crypto, there are two ways to list the token private and public, or centralized or decentralized. Listing centralized any token is a bit lengthy process because it’s a huge task such as requiring token validation, exchange platform guiltiness, and many more. Listing on DEX is an easy process not required. It can be done by doing basic process validation like liquid allocation and some basic knowledge of the crypto market. As I have already explained how to list my own token in my
Previous task.
Significance of listing a token on a Public Crypto exchange
Every coin has a purpose to get verified and value in the market. So these are the following significance of listing.
- To reach availability for anyone on a public exchange for publicity.
- Making tradable for buy and sell. That creates scarcity and some value on a crypto token.
- To provide service and become a trade medium.
2-Demonstrate how to prepare everything needed to list your newly created Crypto Token in a public exchange such as selecting an exchange and adding a few BNB coins to your MetaMask wallet to accomplish the gas fee. (If you already have some amount of BNB in your wallet, you don’t need to deposit again.)
In order to answer this question, I need a MetaMask wallet and some liquid funds to perform all these actions. MetaMask wallet connects DEX that I have fully set up in the last lecture, as to do any transaction we need contract address 0xE7598584404271aA27E81bb1Deb79769Ca2AeF8f (which I received from my previous task). I have deposited enough BNB to perform this operation. Now I will set up a Trust Wallet to get another contract address and do the transaction. For that, I’ll create a new wallet and send newly token to this wallet.
For the exchange, I’ll use Pancakeswap exchange which supports the BEP20 network type and make sense for less gas fee. Let’s set up a Trust wallet in the below process.
Steps for Setup a Trust Wallet
Step 1
Visit office site Trust wallet. Once we landed on the home page we can see device download options are available for android and the apple store. I’m using the android play store to install the application.
Step 2
Once setup install, now click on create a new wallet
Now check all legal documents and click on continue

Now click on continue

We can see Trust wallet created successfully.

For listing on Public exchange we need Pancakesawp to connect my wallet for listing new token. There are the following steps involved.
How to connect Pancakeswap with MetaMask wallet
As I have already set up my Metamask wallet and it’s ready to use.
Step 1
Visit the official site Pancakesawp. After landing the home page click on connect from the right side on the corner button.
Step 2
Now select MetaMask wallet and click on connect. Make sure MetaMask wallet is unlocked.
Step 3
Now we can see one popup will come with a wallet address, click on next.
Step 4
It’s ready to connect so just click on connect. And connected wallet can be seen below.
Setp 5
Now click on Trade-> Exchange. Next, select on Token name as it’s now in the list so we have to add manually by contract address. Just paste address and import.
Search by contract address and click on import.

Now it's listed on a public exchange and SFL value we can see.
4-Demonstrate all the steps to bring half of your newly created Crypto Token into a Public Exchange (In addition to simply stating the steps, you should provide a clear explanation about each step)
As I have created my own token SFL 1000000 in the previous task. Now after listing on a public exchange I'm sending half of the token 500000 SFL from MetaMask wallet to Pancakeswap wallet.
from Metamask
Now click on the send button and enter the contract address, Token details.
Metamask
Now click on confirmed. For sending 500000SFL the total gas fee of 0.000385 BNB will burn from the wallet.
Metamask
500000 SFL token has been sent without any error.
from Metamask
We can check on a public exchange too.
From Pancakeswap
5-Withdraw some of your own crypto Tokens into any other wallet such as Trust Wallet and MetaMask wallet. (Confirm the transaction through the relevant Block Explorer)
After sending half of SFL on a public exchange now I'm going to send 200000 SFL to Trust wallet. Let's do this.
From MetaMask
Now let's get the Trust wallet address.
From Trust wallet
Click on the filter by token contract address. As SFL is my own token to we have to add manually by contract address.
From Trust wallet
Now click on Done.
Trust wallet
Next Click on receive to transfer the token in Trust Wallet
Trust wallet

Trust wallet
Now click on the send button and paste the Trust wallet address.

Conclusion
This was really great learning session Listing my own token on the public exchange by doing this whole exercise has a nice experience. And before listing on public exchange owner has to validate many documentation and basic knowledge of crypto too. Once again I would like to thank professor @reddileep for this wonderful class.
