How do you store/secure your key?

Since I started dealing with blockchains i learnt how important our keys are, why i should store them and how to store them. Keys are unique password used to access an account. As for me i firstly stored my keys on my email, i stored it on my cloud, i stored i on my diary and on my notepad then secured it with strong password. so you can use this different means to save/store your keys

• One can store or secure their keys (private, mnemonic and keystore ) by writing them down in diary where no one can access it.
• Some store it in their most secured emails while some store not in the clouds where it can't be lost even if you lost your phone or it get stolen or spoilt.
• Some persons store their private keys in their brains.

What are the different forms of Private Key(Examples/Screenshot)?

Forms of private key includes;

• Keystore(JSON File)
• Mnemonic key(Seed phrase)
• Private Key.

1. Keystore(JSON file):

The Keystone(JSON file) are forms of keys encrypted in-between unique and secret string character, it is encrypted and kept safe for users. It's more like a password protector.
The keystore file are not key without your password.

2. Mnemonic Key

This is an encrypted form of key that is are written mostly in alphabet, it is usually used to recover a wallet account. It is mostly consist of 12 or more words/phases. It is easier to read and write. This keys are not the best, because the make your account vulnerable to hackers because it can be easily memorized.

3. Private Key

Private key are secret and unique wallet keys that are used to uniquely secure an account
this keys usually consist of alphanumeric figures randomly mixed together. Private keys are stronger than mnemonic keys but weaker than keystore files.

These are steps on how to download TronLink Wallet using an Android phone.

Step 1:

Input and select TronLink wallet on the search bar of your playstore application.

Step 2:

Click on the install button.

Congratulations you have successfully Install TronLink Wallet using playstore.

Steps create a account on TronLink Wallet

Step 1:

Open the application, you will two options, (Create Account and Import Account). Click the Create Account button.

Step 2:

Click on accept button to agree to the user privacy agreement by.

Step 3: input your desired user name then click on next step.

Step 4:

Set a desired password for your wallet and click on the next step button and click on confirm button.

Step 5:

Back up your mnemonic key by clicking the button below.

Step 6:

Confirm your mnemonic by answering correctly to the question asked and click on next step.

Congratulations Your wallet have been created an account on TronLink Wallet.

How do you store the key(Hint- write it down on a notepad, demonstrate it with examples)?

A mnemonic keys as i have said before is a key used to recover lost account or it is used when password are forgotten to regain access to account. so don't mistakenly Share it with any third party if the keys are misplaced a stolen account can't be restored.

As for me I used the offline storage method by writing it down on a diary and then i stored it in a safe and secured location.

Mnemonic key is a key that i prefer because It is in a alphabetical manner that i am used and understand very well the mnemonic key is easier to read, it is easier to write, it easier to memorize and easier to remember when the need arises.

Conclusion

After going through the lessons taught by our lovely professor @sapwood, I can proudly say now that I have successfully created a Tron link account and it was easier for me to create the account after going through his lesson. It is also necessary to backup all your keys given to you in a save site to avoid hackers from accessing you assets once again thanks prof for your lecture.
