What is POB?
POB is an acronym for Proof-Of-Brain which is associated with the distribution of author and curation reward on the steemit blockchain or any other blockchain. It can also be seen as a process of rewarding posts after been scrutinize and found to be free of Plagiarism. This curation reward is divided into two which are upvoted and downvotes where upvotes deals with distribution votes and downvotes deals with redistribution of votes.
- Every curation reward is divided into two equal parts, one part for the curator and the other part for the author.
What does curation mean to you in Steem Blockchain?
Every user sees curation in his/her own way, whereas for me I see curation as the process through which a quality post is been rewarded after been scrutinized and found to be free of plagiarism. If a post is found to be plagiarised attention should be called and such a user warned but if the user still persist, then such a user should either be banned or muted but if the post proves to be of great quality and original, it should be curated with a good upvote percentage. If a post is not curated, therefore there's no curation reward.
What are the benefits of building SP?
Steem power (SP) been an influence token comes with a lot of benefits when you build it.
- first of all no steem power no crypto academy, that is to say steem power makes you eligible to participate in crypto academy
- Building up Steem power makes creating and running a community much easier as members joining the community are sure of getting a support from you.
- Curation reward: As I stated earlier that curation reward is divided into two equal part, one for the author and the other for the curator, this can only be achieved when you build your steem power (SP).
- The bigger the steem power in your possession the more prestigious you become on the steemit platform.
- Most of all building your steem power shows you have interest in the growth of the steemit platform.
How do you explain self-upvote as a good or bad social behavior & why?
Self upvote is really a bad thing to do.
WHY?
- Greed: you will receive both author and curators reward.
- Post might as well be plagiarised but you still give it a reward, whereas the post is not worth that reward.
