Homework Guidelines

We are keen to ensure that all contributions to the Steemit Crypto Academy are of as high a standard as possible.

While the Crypto Professors may set specific requirements for some of their homework tasks we would suggest all students follow these basic guidelines…

  • Title the post with the format - Crypto Academy Week 13 - Homework Post for [name of Crypto Professor] …
  • Homework posts should be at least 300 words
  • All work should be your own - plagiarism will not be tolerated
  • Any graphs, screenshots, quotes etc used from other sources should be fully referenced
  • Any images used should be from copyright-free sources and fully referenced
  • Homework posts should include the tag #cryptoacademy and any tag specifically required by the Crypto Professor in the first five tags. It will also be good to include a tag for your country.
  • Tag the relevant Crypto Professor to help them find your homework post.

Please make sure you send your homework posts into the Crypto-Academy community…

Homework posts should be submitted no later than 11.59pm UTC, on Saturday, May 15th 2021. Note this is one day earlier than usual.

Please check each Professor’s post carefully for any special instructions they have given for their homework task. Once you have completed your homework post make sure you leave a link on the Professor’s post to ensure they see it.

Following all these guidelines carefully will help you gain higher vote rewards for your homework posts.

New Voting Rules for Season 2

To encourage people to do more research and put more effort into producing higher quality homework posts @steemcurator02 will now only be voting on posts that achieve a grade of 5 out of 10 or above from the Professor.

Additionally to discourage ‘content farming’ from multi-accounts set up purely to harvest votes from the Crypto Academy @steemcurator02 will only consider giving votes on homework posts submitted by people with reputations of 50 or above.

If you are new to Steem we suggest you join the Newcomers Community and do the Achievement Tasks there to get to know the platform and build up your reputation before joining the Crypto Academy…

To further discourage content farmers who commonly power down and cash out on a continual basis we will not, at our discretion, be voting on any posts from authors who are powering down.

Additionally to further discourage content farming and to encourage Academy students to build more of a stake in the platform we are introducing one further rule this week. We will not, at our discretion, be voting on posts from authors who do not have at least 100 SP in their wallet due to constant selling of the rewards from their homework posts.

The Steemit Crypto Academy community

The Crypto Academy community is ONLY for posts to do with the courses being run by the Crypto Professors…

Alongside the course posts from the Crypto Professors, the only other posts in the Steemit Crypto Academy community should be homework posts for the tasks set by the professors.

Please do not post general crypto related posts now in the Steemit Crypto Academy Community. Any non-Academy posts may be muted.

We hope as many of you as possible will join in with the Steemit Crypto Academy courses and do the homework tasks set by the Crypto Professors. You are free to follow as many of the courses as you want.

In this second season of the Academy we will be putting a greater emphasis on improving the quality of the homework posts.

We will also be putting even more resources into curbing plagiarism, content farming and other abuse.

We are keen for the Steemit Crypto Academy to provide a high quality learning opportunity for those willing to put in the effort to expand their knowledge and understanding of the world of cryptocurrencies.

Thank you

Thank you so much, crypto-academy is now in auto-pilot mode. The overall quality is slowly improving. With the new threshold of 100 SP and min rep of 50, the number of spam/plagiarism cases has dropped significantly. However, we continue to remain vigilant to ward off any such attempt promptly.

Thank you.

Steem on.

This new change is good to reduce spam and more focus on quality. This is indeed a great initiative that makes us learn about crypto and blockchain.

good evening @steemitblog, sorry for the inconvenience I come to you because an error occurred and my post was not curated, right now I made a repost with the link of my old post evaluated but not curated, I hope you can help me, greetings

It was a post from week 2 @alphafx

https://steemit.com/hive-108451/@omar2021/2m1d1y-read-new-instructions-or-steemit-crypto-academy-season-2-week-3-trading-and-holding-two-sides-of-a-coin

I read your comment and I am really sorry about these. I am not a curator and have no idea why you were not curated, but I'll humbly advice you to focus on the new tasks and ignore it as a minor setback. There is still so much to achieve

Thank you very much steemit team for giving another chance to learn .

Hello respected Steamit professors, students and @steamitblog.
I am new in this community. I want to start work in this community. In my understanding, homework is assigned by professors and students solve these questions. Am I right. Kindly guide me the procedure for Working here.

Hello, @samdesigner

If you are new to Steem we suggest you join the Newcomers Community and do the Achievement Tasks there to get to know the platform and build up your reputation before joining the Crypto Academy…

Thank you.

Question: according from what im understanding about the 100sp rule is that curators will decide to curate or not the homework, last week my homework got rejected by that rule but I'm not sure if the 100sp rule is mandatory from what im reading, I'm trying to build the sp to participate however, I'm still in doubt about that one, thanks in advance 😊 looking forward to be part of this again asap👏🏻

  ·  3 years ago (edited)

What curators generally check before curating--

  • Timestamp- Whether submitted before the deadline or not.
  • Whether the user is a repeat spammer/plagiarist(we keep a curated directory of such lists)- If yes, they will skip.
  • Min reputation of 50
  • Min of SP of 100(excluding delegated-in SP)
  • No power down

I hope it clarifies.

Thank you.

Got it thanks for this brother will start taking part in it.

I understand, thanks for the clarification, however let me put you in context, my homework from last week got rejected (the professor said i didn't meet the requirements to participate in the academy) but reading this post and your explanation, I am assuming I am elegible to at least be corrected, but that didn't happen, I wanna know if I can still summit my homeworks without the fear of it being rejected

Apagar es hacer Power Donw o el hecho de retirar dinero ? esto es una duda que me preguntan muchos conocidos que antes podian hacer tareas y ahora no.

thanks bro.

Yes. I understand it.

Excelente la información. Muchísimas gracias.

muy importante excelente noticia @steemitblog

Thank you sir, i learnt alot

Really nice! I've created a few smart contracts using solidity for some clients in the past and it wasn't easy to get started! It's good to see more content regarding this topic being shared.

Been following this for quite some time, but my rank is 45. Is there any way I can participate?
