I want every veteran to know that "Every Veteran Counts" on this Veterans Day. This motto serves as my compass during my year as Commander-in-Chief of the VFW, and it is never more appropriate on a day set aside for all Americans to pause and give thanks for those who have served in the country's uniform.
The VFW's main purpose is to make the slogan "Every Veteran Counts" a reality for its members and, in turn, for all veterans in America. Our support for the recently passed PACT Act is a striking, recent example. We collaborated with lawmakers on the bill's specifics under the direction of the VFW's Washington Office staff, urged our members to contact their representatives, hosted media events, and promoted the law's passage.
