I listened to part of the video. I don't think it's a problem if people think they're separated from God when they're in hell. In heaven they will see God and interact with him. In hell they won't see God or interact with him.
To me, the alarming part of what I saw was the apologist sugarcoating hell. Someone asked where someone went after they died who survived life in a concentration camp and who died as an unbeliever. The correct answer is those who refuse to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior go to hell. Hell is a place of suffering. It's not just separation from God. You don't get to go to heaven just because you had a bad life on earth.
Jesus said these things about hell:
(Mark 9:49 NIV) Everyone will be salted with fire.
(Luke 12:47-48 NIV) "That servant who knows his master's will and does not get ready or does not do what his master wants will be beaten with many blows. {48} But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.
If you accept what a lot of prominent pastors have said in the past that half of their MEMBERS are unsaved you only imagine the terrible punishment that awaits those who heard the gospel over and over again and refused to believe.
