A LESSON FROM JOSEPH AND DINAH

The story of Dinah and that of Joseph really taught me some lessons...

Dinah had her mother, father and brothers with her, yet she was not satisfied, she decided to go out to see the daughters of the land. And for Joseph, he had no father, no mother, no sibling and yet, he still maintained his integrity...

That you were trained and raised in a godly family, It is not a grantee that you will remain Godly. That you have people advising you, guiding you and counseling you, doesn't mean you will abide in righteousness. Little wonder, we see many pastors children and children of religious parents living a life opposite to what their parents are living and teaching. It is not all about the home training neither is it in the strictness of parents. When the child is attached to an anchor that can keep him. No matter where he goes, whom he meets, what he encounters. The child is kept steadfast and preserved. As for Dinah, she left the arms of her father, mother and brothers, she we out and she never returned whole. She was defiled, her ministry was cut short ( who knowns if there would have been a tribe of Dinah, just like the brothers had).
Have you anchored in Jesus?
Have you presented your children to Jesus? Your home training will fail you, your disciplinary measures and strictness will fail you. The arm of flesh will fail you.
Joseph stayed with God and God stayed with him.
