Undeterred By Challenges!

The story began in Genesis 37 from verse 2 when Joseph was just 17 years old. He experienced life’s challenges when He was between the ages of 17 and 30 which seemed to have caged him or let me say, it shut the door of hope against him.

The difficult situations, afflictions or troubles we experience are called “challenges” which may sometimes be maltreatment, hatred, slander, injustice, poverty, sickness, poor background, loss of job, failure, setbacks, etc. This will make one to start asking questions like, “Where is God when it all goes wrong?” or having a feeling that God has deserted one which in most cases are not true, but God is working on us to make us better.

Without doing anything wrong, Joseph was moved away from his father’s house, betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, sold to a task master, and then sent to prison. He seemed to have troubles all around him. He decided to face everything and rise. He did not allow these challenges to prevent him from achieving his God-given dreams. Despite many unexpected twists and turns, and thirteen years of challenges, drudgery and endurance, God blessed Joseph in a powerful way.

Of a truth, Life is full of tough challenges, and most times, some might be so overwhelming and of which many of them are not expected and many seems to be difficult to overcome without our inner strength. Whichever way it is, all challenges can be used to our/your own personal advantage in such a way that one makes use of them for one’s personal growth and development in becoming a better person.

Do you feel that the Lord has forgotten you? Be patient and keep trusting the Lord and He will lift you up at the right time. He will never forget you.

Here is the word of the Lord to you in Hebrews 13:5 Amplified version.

Let your character [your moral essence, your inner nature] be free from the love of money [shun greed—be financially ethical], being content with what you have; for He has said, “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you [assuredly not]!
