TOPIC: Avoid carnal-mindedness!!!

A canal mind is clearly defined in Romans 8:5. it says " For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh, but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. "
In short, carnality refers to being mindful of the things of the flesh.

TEXT: Romans 8:7
[7]Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

📘 NOTE 📘

A carnal mind is not only an enemy but enmity itself, against God.
They that are in the flesh(carnal mind) cannot please God Romans 5:8.
Again, a carnal mind is not only the alienation of the soul from God, but the opposition of the soul against God, it rebels against God's authority, thwarts His design, and opposes His interest and will.
One characteristic of a carnal mind is, it is not subject to and consistent with the word of God.
For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace Romans 5: 6.
The holiness of the word of God, and the unholiness of the carnal mind, are as irreconcilable as light and darkness.
Beloved, it's very dangerous to the harbor and indulges a carnal mindset, that which is enmity to God our creator, owner, ruler, and benefactor.
Therefore, refrain from a carnal mindset.

How To avoid carnality

-Renew your mind to the word of God. Romans 12:2

-Read the word of God. Joshua 1:1

-Meditate on the Word of God

-Make to reflect on the goodness of God.

-Prayer. 1 Thessalonians 5:6
