Leprosy is a terrible disease or condition. It's existence dates back to old testament days. One of which Elias -Elisha's servant was cursed with. Contracting leprosy had a number of serious implications for the victim because in most cases it led to physical, social and even religious isolation.
Lepers were not allowed free movement talk more of attending ceremonies of a clean person cause they were considered as unclean persons.
More so, aside from the physical, leprosy had spiritual implications as scripted in (Leviticus 13:45-46)
Do you still remember what Elisha said Naaman who went to the prophet for healing.
"Go to the river and deep yourself seven times and thou shall be clean".
Base on the scenario painted above, one could tell that lepers were not living a life of the dream but rather existing at the mercy of people who help them with irregular alms.
Isn't it amazing to beat one's imagination that in spite of being segregated and isolated, a leper in Luke 12:5-10 was able to approach Jesus and access his healing? It is clear that he had heard of Jesus' wondrous miracles and wanted to experience it?
This indeed required boldness and strong faith in a society where such was frowned at of which he displayed. Moreover, the leper's lowly posture of prostrating himself before the Lord. Jesus in response did a shocking act by reaching out to touch the same leper whom the society forbids one from touching nor associating with.
Hence with a touch of Jesus and few spoken words, he was healed.
You're not a leper, hence you need faith to access the basketful of Jesus blessings.
So you have no excuse.
